Ian Stevenson, MD of the University of Virginia and Children’s Past Life Memories

A primary purpose of our website is to bring awareness to the research of Ian Stevenson, MD at the University of Virginia involving young children with spontaneous past life memories that have been objectively verified.

To help spread this evidence of reincarnation, I utilize celebrity past life cases derived through my work with trance medium Kevin Ryerson, who channels a spirit guide Ahtun Re, who has demonstrated the ability to make past life matches with a high degree of accuracy.

A Past Life for Will Ferrell

One celebrity who I have wondered about is Will Ferrell, who has gifted us with laughter. In a session with Kevin Ryerson, I asked who Ferrell was in a past life. Ahtun Re said specifically:

“He was James McIntyre, who was part of a two-man Vaudeville team that performed wearing blackface in a music, dance, song and comedy routine. Ahtun Re told me that the other member of the act was Thomas Heath.”

I had never heard of either entertainer, but in researching the names on the Internet, I found that they existed and that the facial features of James McIntyre and Ferrell were similar, as were their talents.

It appeared that Ahtun Re had made another plausible past life match. I do not tell Kevin Ryerson what my inquiries will be prior to a session, so he does not have the ability to research questions beforehand.

The Akashic Record and the Mind of God

When I ask for a past lifetime for an individual, Ahtun Re he relates that he goes into a meditative state to tap into the mind of God, which Ahtun Re states is the same as what some call the Akashic Record, a database in the spirit realm.

Nicole Arciola as the Reincarnation of Harry Langdon

Nicole Arciola has a special interest in the silent movie era as she herself had an incarnation as a Harry Langdon, a comedic actor of that time. By clicking on her name, provided above, one can review her case. She has proposed reincarnartion cases from that time. As an example, she proposed the following past life match:

Joaquin Phoenix as the Reincarnation of German Actor Conrad Veidt: “Jokers” in Two Lifetimes

Harold Lloyd as a Past Life of Ryan Reynolds

Recently, Nicole proposed that Ryan Reynolds is the reincarnation of Harold Lloyd, which was confirmed in a session with Kevin Ryerson. Nicole pointed out that Reynolds and Lloyd share the same good looks, though the resemblance is not obvious as in many photos as Lloyd is usually captured wearing bulky glasses.

Nicole explained that Harold Lloyd wanted to be a comedic actor, like his peer Charlie Chaplin, but Lloyd was told that he was too handsome to be funny, so Lloyd adopted eyeglasses to look nerdy. Lloyd, by the way, though not as famous as Chaplin, actually made more money through his movies than did Chaplin.

In addition to being humorous in his films, Harold Lloyd also was a daredevil stuntman in his movies. Ryan Reynolds, in addition to performing in his staple of romantic comedies, has also played a superhero role as in his Deadpool movies.

Dan Abrams, Media Lawyer and Author of “John Adams Under Fire,” as the Reincarnation of Patriot Printer Isaiah Thomas of the American Revolution

Revealed by: Spirit Being Ahtun Re in a Ryerson-Semkiw Reincarnation Research Session

Dan Abrams and John Adams Under Fire

Dan Abrams is a lawyer and media entrepreneur. Abrams received a degree in political science prior to law school. Early in his career, he worked as a reporter for Court TV where he covered the OJ Simpson case and the trials of Dr. Jack Kevorkian, who helped terminally ill people commit suicide.

In recent years, he has achieved high visibility due to being the Chief Legal Affairs Anchor for ABC News. Dan is also an author and has written books on three US Presidents, including Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt.

His most recent book is John Adams Under Fire: The Founding Father’s Fight for Justice in the Boston Massacre Murder Trial. Though Adams was a fierce advocate for American independence, he also believed that the British soldiers who fired muskets upon a threatening mob should receive a fair trial. When no one else would represent them, Adams volunteered.

John Adams later wrote of the Boston Massacre: “On that night the formation of American independence was born.”

Dan Abrams wrote of Adams and his defence of the British soldiers:

“He volunteered to represent them, keeping the peace in a powder keg of a colony, and in the process created some of the foundations of what would become United States law.”

John Adams, Ian Stevenson, MD, Reincarnation and Tolerance

I have an interest in the American Revolution because I had an incarnation in Boston during that era. My first book, Return of the Revolutionaries: The Case for Reincarnation and Soul Groups Reunited (2003), is about a cohort from that time that has reemerged today, a cohort that includes me. In that book, I am identified as John Adams reborn.

Ian Stevenson, MD of the University of Virginia compiled over 1500 validated childhood past life memory cases that in aggregate provide proof of reincarnation. This evidence shows that we can change religion, nationality and ethnic affiliation from one lifetime to another.

Most wars are based on differences in these cultural markers of identity, so understanding that these markers are only temporary can help create greater peace. An important case in this regard, as well as others, are provided below:

Anne Frank | Barbro Karlen Reincarnation Case

Reincarnation Cases with Change in Religion, Nationality and Ethnic Affiliation

Spiritual Democracy

Reincarnation research shows that people usually do the same type of thing and follow similar career paths from one lifetime to another. Adams and his colleagues sought to create greater equality though the creation of a democratic country, the United States, which led to another revolution in France. In this way old monarchies were cast off in the name of self-rule.

Evidence of reincarnation will free us from the control of old, established religions, the monarchies of spirituality, and reveals that we truly are equal regardless of what religion, nationality or ethnic group we belong to.

Boston Massacre,
Etching by Paul Revere

Reincarnation research also allays fear of death and affirms that our souls are eternal. As I like to say:

“With compelling evidence of reincarnation, who needs faith?”

Dan Abrams as the Reincarnation of Isaiah Thomas, Publisher of the “Massachusetts Spy”

I had a hunch that Dan Abrams also was part of the American Revolution and I reasoned that he was likely a newspaper publisher, as Abrams is a reporter and media entrepreneur.

Since 2001, on roughly a monthly basis, I have been working with trance medium Kevin Ryerson who channels a spirit being named Ahtun Re, who has demonstrated the ability to make past life matches with a high degree of accuracy. In a session with Kevin over the telephone, I asked Ahtun Re whether Dan Abrams was incarnate during the American Revolution and if so, was he a newspaper publisher?

As is usual, Ahtun Re said, “One moment,” during which he psychically tunes into the subject of interest and waits for information to come to him. He can access a record of events that is engrained in the spirit realm, which some call the Akashic Record.

Ahtun Re returned and related that Dan was a newspaper publisher in Boston during the Revolution and that his periodical was supportive of the Patriot cause of Independence.

After doing some research into Boston newspapers and their founders, it appeared that Isaiah Thomas was the best candidate. In a subsequent session with Kevin, Ahtun Re affirmed that Dan Abrams is the reincarnation of Thomas.

Isaiah Thomas was born in 1749 in Boston, Massachusetts and as a teen he was apprenticed to a printer. As an adult, Thomas worked as a printer in New Hampshire and South Carolina.

He returned to Boston and in 1770 he formed a partnership to create a new newspaper, which was given the saucy name, the Massachusetts Spy. The Spy did indeed support the Patriots to the extent that the British colonial government took Isaiah Thomas to court, though in the end a grand jury failed to make an indictment. Due to this experience, Thomas moved his printing presses outside of Boston to nearby Worcester, Massachusetts, where he settled.

Isaiah Thomas and the Boston Massacre: Reporting Across Two Lifetimes

The Boston Massacre occurred on March 5, 1770, with the trial taking place later that year. As such, Thomas must have covered that trial for his paper, which means that Isaiah Thomas and John Adams knew one another.

Consider that Isaiah Thomas reported on the Boston Massacre trial, then reincarnated as Dan Abrams, who wrote the book John Adams Under Fire, which is about the very same trial!

The Massachusetts Spy also reported on the first battles of the American Revolution that took place in the Massachusetts towns of Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775. Isaiah himself participated as a soldier in the Battle of Concord.

Following the decision by the Continental Congress to separate from Britain on July 4, 1776, Isaiah Thomas had the honor of performing the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence to the citizens of Worcester.

Authors in Two Lifetimes

Like Dan Abrams, Isaiah Thomas was an author of books and he wrote the History of Printing in America, with a Biography of Printers, and an Account of Newspapers, published in two volumes in 1810.

In 1812, Thomas founded the American Society of Antiquaries, now known as the American Antiquarian Society, and donated his collection of 8000 books to its library. Thomas died in 1831.

Evidence and Principles of Reincarnation-Understanding Past Lives

Physical Resemblance in Reincarnation Cases: There is a similarity in the facial features and demeanor of Thomas and Abrams.

Past Life Passions, Talent and Abilities: Isaiah Thomas was a reporter and newspaper publisher for the American Revolution, while Dan Abrams is a reporter on legal matters and founder of a media empire.

Priyanka Chopra as the Reincarnation of French Film Vamp Musidora and Nick Jonas as Costar Fernand Herrmann: Planning Lifetimes to be Reunited through Reincarnation

Revealed by: Spirit Being Ahtun Re in a Ryerson-Semkiw Reincarnation Research Session

Article by: Walter Semkiw, MD with assistance from Karthik Ramaswamy

Clues to a Past Lifetime of Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Priyanka Chopra won the Miss World 2000 beauty pageant, which led to movie roles and fame, resulting in her becoming one of India’s most popular celebrities. She married Nick Jonas, a member of the Jonas Brothers singing group, which made Priyanka equally famous in the United States.

Since India’s primary religion, Hinduism, does accept reincarnation, it was natural to wonder who Priyanka, as well Nick, may have been in past lives.

I asked about Priyanka and Nick in a session with trance medium Kevin Ryerson, who channels Ahtun Re, a spirit being who has demonstrated the ability to make past life matches with a high degree of accuracy.

Ahtun Re told me that Priyanka was a French silent movie actress and  director at the turn of the century. At the time of this session with Kevin, I was busy with other reincarnation cases and did not take the time to research this French actress, who sounded obscure to me.

Priyanka as the Reincarnation of Musidora

Several months went by when I was contacted by Karthik Ramaswamy, an Indian American who wrote conveying his hypotheses regarding who Priyanka might have been in past lives.

I did not think his theories were valid, but after getting to know him a bit, I shared the information I already had regarding Priyanka as the French silent movie actress and director. I asked Karthik if he would like to research this French past life, which he agreed to do.

Not long thereafter, Karthik sent me information about Musidora, who fit the description given by Ahtun Re. In a subsequent session with Kevin, Priyanka’s past life as Musidora was confirmed.

Musidora’s birth name was Jeanne Roques and she was born in 1889 in Paris.  She started acting when she was 15 years old. In the early years of French cinema, she collaborated with the influential film director Louis Feuillade. This led to Jeanne, who had taken on the stage name, Musidora, to landing a lead role in the movie series Les Vampires.

Ahtun Re and the Akashic Records

By the way, when I asked Ahtun Re if Priyanka was Musidora, I said that Musidora had starred in Les Vampires. I then added: “I guess it’s a movie about vampires.”

After affirming that Priyanka was Musidora in a past lifetime, Ahtun Re said that Les Vampires was actually about a gang of criminals, not a movie about actual vampires. He then said the gang symbolically sucked the blood of society.

I was stunned that Ahtun Re knew this obscure detail and demanded: “How did you know that?”

Ahtun Re has done this repeatedly in my sessions with Kevin, which I have been having on roughly a monthly basis since 2001. Ahtun Re has an encyclopedic scope of knowledge that never ceases to amaze me.

Ahtun Re explained that when I ask about a person, he focuses on the subject and information about this person just comes to him. Ahtun Re has the ability to read what is called the Akashic Records or Universal Mind. It is a record of all events that is etched in the spirit realm. Ahtun Re accesses this record telepathically.

Nick Jonas as the Reincarnation of Fernand Herrmann

In the same session in which Ahtun Re confirmed that Priyanka was Musidora, I asked if Nick Jonas was incarnate during Musidora’s lifetime. Ahtun Re told me that Nick was one of the other actors in Les Vampires.

As before, I asked Karthik if he could try to find Nick. Karthik then watched a number of episodes of Les Vampires. Afterwards, he wrote to me and related that the most likely candidate for Nick Jonas was Fernand Herrmann, a reincarnation match that was subsequently affirmed by Ahtun Re.

Fernand Herrmann was also born in Paris and starred in 26 films between 1914 and 1925, the year he died. Musidora died in 1967. Priyanka Chopra was born 15 years later, in 1982.

Musidora was married to Dr. Clément Marot for 15 years before the union ended in divorce. I do not know if Musidora and Fernand Herrmann had any type of significant personal relationship during their professional careers, but they must at least have been friends.

Wild Bill Hickok: Celebrity and Actor

“Wild Bill” Hickok was one of America’s first celebrities. He was raised in Illinois on a farm, but he was attracted to the adventure that the American West offered. At the age of 18, he moved to the frontier territories of Kansas and Nebraska, where he became a lawman. Hickok was involved in a number of shootouts, but exaggerated the number of men he had killed, which served to help create a mythology around him.

George Ward Nichols was the journalist who created the legend of Wild Bill. Nichols had interviewed Hickok, who falsely stated that he had killed “hundreds” of men. Nichols included Hickock’s tall tales in an article published in Harper’s New Monthly Magazine which led to Wild Bill’s fame. Though Hickok had indeed been an excellent marksman since boyhood, his primary biographer has estimated that he only killed 6 or 7 people in gunfights.

Due to his fame, Hickok was invited to participate in shows depicting life on the Western frontier, complete with Indians and staged shootouts. In this capacity, he worked as an actor who also demonstrated his skills with firearms during shows.

In 1876, Wild Bill was playing cards in a saloon in Deadwood, South Dakota when he was shot in the back and killed by another gambler. Hickok was reportedly was holding a pair of aces and a pair of eights, which has become known as “Dead Man’s Hand,” reflecting Hickok’s assassination.

Wild Bill Hickok as a Past Life of Matthew McConaughey

Matthew David McConaughey was born in 1969 in Texas. He went to the University of Texas, Austin, where he earned a degree in Radio-Television-Film. He has gone on to become a celebrity actor and won an Oscar for his role as a rodeo star who contracts AIDS in the movie Dallas Buyers Club.

When living in California, McConaughey became a surfer, a sport that requires razor-sharp reflexes, which are also required to become a successful gunfighter.

Matthew is known for the phrase: “Alright, Alright, Alright.” I am old enough to know that phrase was originally used in the song 30 Days in the Hole, by Humble Pie.

Matthew has starred in a couple of movies involving space travel, including Contact (1997) and Interstellar (2004). Steve Allen, Steve Higgins and the Phenomenon of Split Incarnation

Steve Allen was a co creator and the first host of The Tonight Show, which initially aired in 1954. This was the first late night talk show in the United States. Allen was a television icon and was honored by two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Allen was also TV producer and a comedy writer. He died in the year 2000, at the age of 78.

Steve Higgins was born in 1963, 37 years BEFORE Steve Allen died. As such, this represents a case of split incarnation, in which a soul inhabits two human bodies at the same time, in this case for a period of 37 years. In other words, the lifetimes of Allen and Higgins have overlapped by 37 years.

Ian Stevenson, MD of the University of Virginia, Reincarnation Research and Split Incarnation

Though split incarnation is a difficult concept to accept, there is evidence that this phenomenon does indeed occur. Ian Stevenson, MD of the University of Virginia compiled over 1500 childhood past life memory cases that were objectively validated. Split incarnation is observed in some of these cases. In fact, split incarnation is demonstrated in one of Dr. Stevenson’s strongest cases. To learn more, please to go:

Another split incarnation case, in which a 27-year overlap in lifetimes is observed, is cited below:

Planning Lifetimes to be Reunited with Those You Like, Care For and Work With

It is not a coincidence that Allen | Higgins and Gleason | Fallon are working together across two incarnations. There is very compelling evidence that souls plan lifetimes to be reunited with those that they have known and loved in past lives.

The most impressive study was done by Ian Stevenson, MD, who compiled 31 sets of twins who had past life memories that were objectively validated. In 100 percent of these reincarnation cases, the twins had very significant past life relationships, including being siblings, spouses and friends. In one case, twin boys even managed to reincarnate as twin boys again! To learn more, please go to:

Micheaux: The Son of a Slave Becomes a Motion Picture Producer

Oscar Micheaux was born in 1887 in Illinois, the son of a slave who was likely  owned by French immigrants. He is considered the first major African American filmmaker. Micheaux made silent movies and then transitioned to sound films, directing and producing 44 movies in all.

The focus of his work was racial issues between blacks and whites, covering the topics of racial injustice, lynching, mob violence and economic inequality.

Of interest, Micheaux, early in life moved to South Dakota, where he bought land and worked as a farmer. He wrote a novel, The Homesteader, which was in part based on his experiences in South Dakota. Homesteaders were people who were given free plots of land in the American West in an effort to develop the region.

Micheaux died in 1951.

Oscar Micheaux Reincarnates as Spike Lee, Who Propagates Movie Making to make a Difference

Spike Lee was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1957. Like Micheaux, Lee’s movies center around race relations, including the issues of poverty, urban crime and the politics of race.

In a very interesting parallel, Spike Lee named his production company 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks, which appears to be an unconscious reference to his own past life as Micheaux, who bought land in South Dakota and became a farmer prior to embarking on his career as a filmmaker.

Reincarnation Case of Harriet Tubman | Angela Davis: A Militant Operative for African American Causes in Two Lifetimes

Proposed by: Walter Semkiw, MD

Affirmed by: Spirit Being Ahtun Re in a Ryerson-Semkiw Reincarnation Research Session

Article by: Walter Semkiw, MD

The Life of Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman was born in Maryland, into slavery, in March 1822. She escaped from her owner, whose staff whipped and beat Tubman, and became an abolitionist most famous for organizing 13 missions to rescue 70 others bound by slavery. She was ready to use force, if needed, and she carried a revolver.

Her network of abolitionists and safe houses, where escaping slaves were sheltered, was called the Underground Railroad.

Harriet Tubman and John Brown

Tubman initially escaped to Philadelphia where slavery was illegal. She then returned to Maryland to bring her relatives, one group at a time, to Philadelphia and freedom. She would carry out her missions at night and maintained extreme secrecy to avoid being caught.

In 1858, Tubman met John Brown, who she helped plan and execute his raid on the US military arsenal located in the town of Harpers Ferry, Virginia. Brown, who was white and passionately against slavery, planned to use the arms taken from the arsenal to create a community of freed slaves in the mountains of Virginia and Maryland.

Brown was captured during the raid, which took place 1859, and he was hung later that year. The raid on the Harpers Ferry increased the fears of Southern slave owners that slave rebellions would take place, and the raid increased tensions between Northern and Southern states before the American Civil War, which did commence in 1861.

Once the Civil War began, Harriet Tubman was employed by the Northern Union Army as a cook, then nurse, army scout and spy.

Harriet Tubman leads the Combahee River Union Army Assaults

In 1863, Tubman became the first woman to lead an armed assault by Union troops of the Northern states during the Civil War. This raid in South Carolina led to the liberation of over 750 slaves. An article on Wikipedia describes the scene along the Combahee River.

“Once ashore, the Union troops set fire to the plantations, destroying infrastructure and seizing thousands of dollars worth of food and supplies. When the steamboats sounded their whistles, slaves throughout the area understood that it was being liberated.

Tubman watched as slaves stampeded toward the boats. ‘I never saw such a sight,’ she said later, describing a scene of chaos with women carrying still-steaming pots of rice, pigs squealing in bags slung over shoulders, and babies hanging around their parents’ necks. Although their owners, armed with handguns and whips, tried to stop the mass escape, their efforts were nearly useless in the tumult. As Confederate troops raced to the scene, steamboats packed full of slaves took off toward Beaufort.”

Tubman died on March 10, 1913. In 2019, a movie was made about her entitled Harriet.

Angela Davis as the Reincarnation of Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman has reincarnated as Angela Davis, an African American woman born on January 26, 1944, 31 years after Tubman died.

Davis shares many of the characteristics of Harriet Tubman. For example, like Tubman, Davis has been open to using force for societal causes. In 1970, she purchased firearms that were used in the armed takeover of a courtroom in Marin County, California, which is located just north of San Francisco.

The takeover was executed by Jonathan Jackson, an African American, whose intent was to kidnap Superior Court Judge Harold Haley, who would be used as a bargaining chip to force the release of his brother and others from prison. It was a time when racial tensions were high in the California prison system.

A shootout between Jackson and police occurred which left Jackson, Judge Haley and two others dead.

As a result of her involvement, Angela Davis was prosecuted for conspiracy to commit murder and she spent over a year in jail, before she was acquitted of charges in 1972.

Past Life Behavior: Angela Davis is a Militant Crusader for Liberal Causes, as was Harriet Tubman

Afterwards she was released from prison, Davis was an advocate of progressive causes and even became a Communist. She also supported the militant African American Black Panther Party, that itself was involved in gun battles with police in protest of police brutality against Blacks, primarily in Oakland, California.

The Black Panthers were likely was made up of Harriet Tubman’s compatriots from the Underground Railroad.

Angela Davis has also pursed a career in academics, including at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Joaquin Phoenix as the Reincarnation of German Actor Conrad Veidt: “Jokers” in Two Lifetimes

Proposed by: Nicole Arciola

Conrad Veidt, the First Joker

In 2020, Joaquin Phoenix won the Oscar for his lead role in the movie Joker. It turns out that Joaquin played a similar role in his past life as Conrad Veidt.

Veidt was born in Berlin on January 22, 1893 to a Lutheran family. In 1914, he was drafted into the German Army during World War I.

A year later, in 1915, Veidt was sent to the Eastern Front and he fought in the Battle of Warsaw. Conrad then developed pneumonia with jaundice and he was sent to a hospital on the Baltic Sea. As his illness did not improve, Veidt was discharged from the German Army in 1917. Returning to Berlin, Conrad Veidt joined a theatre company to pursue a career in acting.

The Man Who Laughs and The DC Comics Joker

In 1928, Veidt starred in the silent movie, The Man Who Laughs, which is based on the novel of the same name, written by the French author Victor Hugo. Hugo also created Les Misérables and The Hunchback of Notre-Dame.

Hugo wrote The Man Who Laughs while exiled from France due to the political content of his prior books, which criticized French royalty and the behavior of the nobility.

Set in 17th century England, the plot involves a noble who refuses to kiss the hand of a tyrannical king, who then orders the execution of the noble and the surgical facial disfigurement of the noble’s son, Gwynplaine. The surgery results in Gwynplaine having a permanent, grotesque grin.

Gwynplaine, still a boy, meets a carnival manager who is initially horrified by Gwynplaine’s appearance, but then takes pity on him and arranges for the boy to work in the carnival.

In each town, Gwynplaine performs on stage with the lower part of his face hidden by a veil. After a period of time, he takes off the veil revealing his disfigured face, which provokes laughter in audience. In this way, Gwynplaine becomes a performance clown or joker.

In the movie, The Man Who Laughs, Conrad Veidt played the deformed Gwynplaine  character, which later served as the inspiration for the DC Comics villain the Joker, who first appeared in a Batman comic book in 1942.

Conrad Veidt’s Activism Against the Nazis

Veidt was passionately opposed to the Nazi regime, which rose to power in 1933. The Nazis started purging the movie industry in Germany of Jews and anyone who opposed the Nazis and Hitler.

In 1933, Conrad Veidt married Ilona Prager, who was a Jew. A week after their ceremony, they relocated to Britain to avoid persecution by the Nazis. In England, Veidt continued his acting career.

A Move to Hollywood, A Donation to the War Effort and Casablanca

In 1941, Conrad and IIona moved to Hollywood to make films that would help get the isolationist United States into the war against Nazi Germany. Before he left England, Veidt donated his life savings to the British government to help finance the war effort.

His most famous role in an American film was that of Major Heinrich Strasser in the movie Casablanca, that featured Humphrey Bogart and which was made in 1942, before the United States entered World War II.

Veidt died in of a massive heart attack in 1943 while playing golf in Los Angeles. Joaquin Phoenix was born in 1974, 31 years after Conrad Veidt had died.

Activism: A Past Life Trait

Recall that Veidt gave all his savings to the British Government to help fund the WW II and that he later made movies designed to sway the United States into entering enter WW II.

Joaquin Phoenix has supported Amnesty International, The Peace Alliance, veganism and animal rights. He has campaigned for In Defense of Animals (IDA) and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

Replication of Career, Roles and Subject Matter in Reincarnation Cases

Reincarnation Research does show that talents and passions can be carried across from one lifetime to another. Replication of painting talent can even include replicating the subject matter from a past lifetime. Actors may replicate types of roles, such as in the Conrad Veidt | | Joaquin Phoenix case. Actors may even take roles involving their own past life, such as in the Halle Berry case. To learn more, please go to:

Evidence and Principles of Reincarnation-Understanding Past Lives

Physical Resemblance in Reincarnation Cases: There is a somewhat uncanny resemblance between Conrad and Joaquin.

Past Life Passions, Talent and Abilities: Conrad and Joaquin both have had careers in acting and both have demonstrated activism.

Change of Religion and Nationality: Conrad Veidt was born in Germany to a Christian family while Joaquin Phoenix identifies himself as a Jew, as is his mother Arlyn. Joaquin was born in Puerto Rico to American parents and was raised in California.

Understanding that religion and nationality can change from one lifetime to another can help create a more peaceful world, as most conflicts and wars are based on differences in these cultural markers of identity. Important cases in this regard include:

The Painful Life of Frida Kahlo

Frida Kahlo was born in 1907. When she was 6 years old she was afflicted with polio, which caused her to be bedridden for 9 months. After she recovered, she was left with a shriveled right leg and a limp. When she returned to school, cruel classmates called her “peg-leg Frida.”

When she was 18, Frida was involved in a transportation accident in which the wooden bus she was riding in was struck by a streetcar. Several people were killed. Frida incurred a broken pelvis, fractured ribs and displaced vertebrae. She also broke her collar-bone and both legs. She was in the hospital for two months following this collision and Frida experienced intermittent back pain for the rest of her life.

In 1950, when she was 43, Kahlo underwent bone graft surgery on her spine in an effort to lessen her back pain. Unfortunately, an infection set in and she had to endure several follow-up surgeries.

In 1953, Kahlo’s right leg had to be amputated at the knee due to gangrene. She subsequently became severely depressed and anxious, increasing used opioid pain killers and when her husband, artist Diego Rivera, began yet another extramarital affair, she attempted suicide by overdose.

Frida’a reputation as an artist grew over her lifetime. An exhibit of her works occurred in 1953, arranged by a friend who understood that Frida did not have long to live. She had to transported to her showing in an ambulance and at the exhibit, Frida was placed in a bed that was arranged for her.

She wrote in her diary in February 1954: “They have given me centuries of torture and at moments I almost lost my reason. I keep on wanting to kill myself.”

Frida died about a year later at the age of 47. Her last words were: “I joyfully await the exit – and I hope never to return – Frida”

The Glamorous Life of Salma Hayek

Frida did not get her wish as she reincarnated as actress Salma Hayek, who was born in 1966, 12 years after Frida had died. Fortunately, Salma’s life has been full of glamour, in contrast to the painful existence that Frida endured.

Salma Hayek has received numerous acting awards. Of interest, she co-produced the biographical movie, Frida, which was released in 2002.

Affinity Reincarnation Cases involving Halle Berry, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy

As such, Frida took the initiative to make a film about her own past life. I call these kinds of reincarnation stories “Affinity Cases,” in which a person creates a work based on their own past incarnation.

A very similar reincarnation case involves Oscar winner Halle Berry, who produced the movie Introducing Dorothy Dandridge.  In a past incarnation, Halle was African-American actress Dorothy Dandridge, who was denied an Oscar because of the color of her skin. Other affinity cases include the reincarnations of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.

Evidence and Principles of Reincarnation-Understanding Past Lives

Physical Resemblance in Reincarnation Cases: The facial features of Frida Kahlo and Salma Hayek are very similar.

Past Life Passions, Talent and Abilities: Reincarnation research reveals that people tend to pursue similar careers from lifetime to lifetime. For example, artists reincarnate as artists, though the form of art can change. Frida was a painter, while Salma has expressed her artistic talent as an actress.
