The Life of Alberto Santos-Dumont
A friend of mine has been close to the Gonda family of Los Angeles, who were co-founders of International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), the largest aircraft leasing company in the world. The Gondas have used their wealth to become philanthropists.
I thought it would be interesting to derive a past lifetime for the Gondas, in part–to be honest, because I was hoping they might take an interest in supporting reincarnation research. In a session with Kevin Ryerson, Ahtun Re told me that one of the members of the Gonda group was a Brazilian aviation pioneer who flew a dirigible in Paris around the Eiffel Tower. At the time, I didn’t know who he was referring to. With a little investigation, I realized that he was referring to Alberto Santos-Dumont.
Santos-Dumont grew up on his father’s coffee plantation in Brazil. Young Alberto was fascinated by the plantation machinery and spent time with his father’s mechanics learning how these machines worked. He would take machinery apart and then reassemble the pieces to master their engineering.
When he developed an interest in aviation, he used his knowledge of engines to create some of the world’s first powered aircraft, including dirigibles that used a large balloon for lift and a gasoline engine for thrust. It was this type of aircraft that Santos-Dumont used in an air race in Paris, where he did indeed fly around the Eiffel Tower. He later designed and flew the first heavier-than-air aircraft at about the same time that the Wright Brothers were experimenting with their flying machines.
When I compared the life of Alberto Santos-Dumont with the lives of Leslie Gonda and his son, Louis Gonda, cofounders of IFLC, I realized that they did not match Santos-Dumont in personality or appearance. Though the Gondas owned aircraft, they were not pilots themselves and they did not resemble Santos-Dumont. I was puzzled at the discrepancies.
The Life of Steven Udvar-Hazy
A breakthrough came when I learned that there was a third co-founder of IFLC, Steven Udvar-Hazy. Udvar-Hazy spent his teenage years with aircraft mechanics at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). It was a more innocent time when a teenage boy could get into aircraft hangers without security clearance.
As a teenager, Steven became an expert on aircraft mechanics and the strengths and flaws of each aircraft design. At the age of 17 or 18, he brokered his first aircraft leasing deal, as the parties involved didn’t realize that their consultant in the deal, who they never met in person, had not even graduated from college.
It was Steven who convinced his college friend, Louis Gonda, along with Louis’s father, Leslie, to go into business together to form ILFC. Steven also became an accomplished pilot and eventually would fly his own Gulf Stream 5, considered the Rolls Royce of private aircraft. Steven later used his wealth to help found the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
The physical resemblance between Alberto Santos-Dumont and Steven Udvar-Hazy is quite striking. In reincarnation cases, men are often observed to maintain the same facial hair from lifetime to lifetime and in this case, we also observe that Alberto and Steven sport the same-style mustache. In a session with Kevin Ryerson, Ahtun Re confirmed that Steven Udvar-Hazy is the reincarnation of Alberto Santos-Dumont.
Christine Udvar-Hazy as the Reincarnation of Alberto Santos-Dumont’s Love, Aida de Acosta
Alberto Santos-Dumont had affection for woman named Aida de Acosta. He even allowed her to fly one of his airships, the only person who he gave such a privilege. She flew his airship Number 9 and in doing so, she became the first woman to pilot a powered aircraft. He kept a picture of her on his desk until the end of his life. Aida was married, so their relationship was unfulfilled.
Ahtun Re has confirmed that Aida de Acosta reincarnated as Steven Udvar-Hazy’s wife, Christine Udvar-Hazy.

Physical Resemblance from One Lifetime to Another: The facial features and facial hair of Alberto Santos-Dumont and Steven Udvar-Hazy are consistent.
The facial features of Christine Udvar-Hazy and Aida de Acosta are also the same.
Past Life Talent: Santos-Dumont and Udvar-Hazy have shared a precocious interest in mechanical equipment, particularly in relation to aircraft. Santos-Dumont used his mechanical knowledge to become an aviation pioneer, while Udvar-Hazy used his mechanical knowledge to help establish the world’s largest aircraft leasing company. Santos-Dumont was one of the world’s first aircraft pilots and Udvar-Hazy is himself an accomplished pilot.
Change of Nationality and Ethnic Affiliation from One Incarnation to Another: Alberto-Santos-Dumont was born in Brazil and moved to Paris, where he established himself as a leader in aviation. Steven Udvay-Hazy was born in Hungary and came to the United States during the era of the Soviet Union. He settled in the Los Angeles area, where he became involved in aviation.
Suicide: Alberto Santos-Dumont developed a serious illness, thought to be due to multiple sclerosis. He was also distraught over the use of aircraft in war. As a result of severe depression, it is believed that he committed suicide by hanging himself.
Renewal Relationships through Reincarnation: Alberto Santos-Dumont’s affinity for Aida de Acosta was fulfilled in his marriage to his wife, Christine.
