Past Life Talent: Dorothy, as a Child, is a Natural Actress and Singer

Dorothy Angelica was born on Sept 24, 2010 in the United States. Her mother, Kira, wrote to me in 2019 regarding her daughter’s past life memories.

Kira related that Dorothy was an entertainer before she learned to talk. Dorothy would jump up and down in her crib to make everyone around her laugh. When Dorothy was 3 and a half years old, she was in a musical production with 30 other children of varying ages. Dorothy stole the show. Other parents admitted to Kira that they ended up video recording Dorothy instead of their own kids, due to Dorothy’s magnetic stage presence.

Kira relates that Dorothy loves to wear bright bows, sometimes ten at a time or more. She is very loud, talkative, bubbly and excitable–wildly popular with everyone.

Dorothy’s music teacher shared with Kira that her daughter has perfect pitch, which means a person is able to re-create a musical tone without a reference tone.

Kira has a Psychic Experience or Vision before Dorothy was Born

When Kira was 8 months pregnant with Dorothy, she was up late at night in her dining room sewing a baby blanket for her child to come. Kira suddenly heard a young voice calling from their kitchen who exclaimed, “Mommy! Mommy!” Kira went to the kitchen, but no one was there. Kira returned to the dining room and her sewing.

Kira then once again heard a child saying, “Mommy,” this time coming from the family’s living room. Kira went to the living room and again, no one was there.

Kira went back to the dining room to continue sewing. She is a spiritual person and speculated that the soul of her future child was communicating to her. After working on the blanket for a few more minutes, Kira looked up at the door going to the kitchen and saw a girl, who appeared to be about 10 years of age.

This girl was wearing a homemade, plaid dress. This girl smiled at Kira and Kira smiled back. The vision of the girl then faded away. Kira felt very happy after this experience. She speculated that this girl was the child that would be born to her. The plaid dress she was wearing was perhaps a something her future daughter wore in a past incarnation.

After Dorothy was born and matured, Kira realized that the girl in her vision was in fact Dorothy.

Announcing Dreams in Reincarnation Cases

Reincarnation research does provide evidence that souls who are about to incarnate into a family can send dreams to members of that family, usually the mother of the incarnating soul, to signal that they will be arriving. Ian Stevenson, MD of the University of Virginia called these “announcing dreams.” Kira seems to have had an “announcing vision.” To review these types of cases, please go to:

Spirit Communication and Announcing Dreams in Reincarnation Cases

Dorothy Remembers Her Past Life Name

When Dorothy was 6 years old, Kira decided to share with her the vision she had of the girl in the plaid dress. Recall that this vision occurred before Dorothy was born.

Kira had taught Dorothy to meditate and upon hearing of her mother’s dream of the girl in the plaid dress, Dorothy decided to meditate to see if she could find out who that girl was in a past life. Dorothy, who again was just 6 years old, had just started kindergarten and had not yet learned to read, nor did she know how to use a computer. As such, she did not have the ability to research possible past life identities though normal means, such as through the Internet.

After a few minutes, Dorothy started rattling off details of a possible life. Kira grabbed a notebook and scribbled down what Dorothy said. Kira documented Dorothy’s statements over time. She thought that her daughter was describing imaginary things, but Kira wrote it all down anyhow.

While Dorothy was sitting on the floor meditating, she suddenly opened her eyes and said:

“Mom, I know who I used to be in a past life. Her name was something like Lizy or Lily, but her REAL name was Alice Pons.”

Though skeptical, Kira Googled these names and found that Lily Pons was an opera singer born in 1898, in France, who enjoyed fame in the 1940’s. When Kira read that Lily’s birth name was Alice, Kira gasped and almost fainted. Kira, though, did not reveal what she found on the Internet to Dorothy, as she wanted to see what else her daughter may say spontaneously.

Kira asked Dorothy about anything else she remembered about this past lifetime.

Dorothy Remembers her Past Life Husband’s Name

Dorothy said that her husband’s name was “Cos Liams.” She said that they had pets and described other details of this past lifetime. Over time, Dorothy added that Lily Pons spoke many languages, played piano, loved to sing and was a professional singer by the age of 22. Dorothy said Lily had a music room in her house, loved wild cats and the singing of birds.

A Past Life Cancer produces Abdominal Pain

Kira noted that at this point in her daughter’s life, Dorothy had developed frequent, very painful stomach aches. Dorothy herself stated to her mother:

“Ever since you started talking about dying and being reborn, I started having a terrible stomach ache, and I feel sad. I might throw up, Mom. It feels like I had a bad stomach in my past life. Very bad. It makes me sad.”

One night, when she was having one of these fits, Dorothy declared, “Now I know what Lily Pons died from, Mom. She died from a bad stomach ache!” That was Dorothy’s last stomach ache.

Kira researched and found that Lily Pons had died from pancreatic cancer, which does cause abdominal pain. Upon reading this, Kira’s hair stood on end!

Dorothy Recognizes her Past Life Photo

Kira finally shared with Dorothy what she had learned about Lilly Pons on the Internet and showed her a photo of Pons, which prompted Dorothy to exclaim: “Hey! That was me! Now you’ve seen me with short hair, mom!”

The Life of Alice “Lily” Pons

Alice Joséphine Pons was born in France on April 12, 1898.  She first studied piano at the Paris Conservatory, winning the First Prize at the age of 15. She went on to become an operatic singer and actress who went by the professional name of Lily Pons. She moved to New York City and performed with the Metropolitan Opera from 1931 to 1960, had television appearances such as on the Ed Sullivan Show and she made dozens of musical recordings. A town in Maryland, Lilypons, was named after her.

Lily was married twice. Her second husband was conductor Andre Kostelanetz, which corresponds to Dorothy’s memory of being married to a man whose name was “Cos Liams.”

Alice “Lily” Pons died on Feb 13, 1976 at the age of age 77, about 35 years before Dorothy was born.

Evidence and Principles of Reincarnation-Understanding Past Lives

Physical Resemblance in Reincarnation Cases: The facial features of Alice Pons and Dorothy Angelica are similar.

Past Life Talent, Behavior and Abilities: The singing and acting talent of Alice Pons is being replicated in the persona of Dorothy Angelica.

Change of Nationality: Alice Pons was born in England, while Dorothy Angelica was born in the United States. Understanding that nationality and ethnic affiliation can change from one lifetime to another can help a more peaceful world, as most conflicts and wars are based on differences in these cultural markers of identity.

Spirit Beings in Reincarnation Cases: Kira Angelica had a vision of her daughter to be born. When Dorothy matured in age, Kira realized that the girl in her vision in the plaid dress did resemble Dorothy.

Ian Stevenson, MD of the University of Virginia called dreams that foretold an incarnation as “announcing dreams.”

Japanese Soldier Reincarnates as a Woman and Becomes a Lesbian, Understanding Homosexuality & Gender Identity Issues through Reincarnation; Sasha Fleishman

The retention of the mindset of the gender of a prior incarnation is demonstrated in this childhood memory reincarnation case researched by Ian Stevenson, MD. A WW II Japanese soldier in occupied Burma was killed in a strafing run and reincarnated as a Burmese woman, showing how a persecutor can return to life as the persecuted, demonstrating the futility of war.

Reincarnation & Gender Change, Past Life Story of Japanese SoldierHow Derived: Past Life Memories in Childhood

Nathul, Burma during the Japanese Occupation

The setting of this case is in the village of Nathul, in Burma. During World War II, the Japanese army occupied Nathul, starting in 1942.

As there was a railroad station nearby, Allied fighters and bombers regularly bombed the area and used machine guns to strafe the ground to kill any Japanese soldiers that were spotted. Attacks would often happen twice a day.

As the Allied planes ran sorties during the day, the Burmese villagers of Nathul would scatter into the countryside in the mornings. The villagers would then return to their homes in the cover of the night’s darkness. The Allied attacks continued through the spring of 1945. (1)

Daw Aye Tin and the Japanese Army Cook

U Aye Maung and his wife, Daw Aye Tin, were poor members of the community. U Aye Maung worked as a porter at the railway station. They had three daughters.

During the occupation, Daw became acquainted with a Japanese army cook, who was stocky or heavy set man. Due to the heat, this cook typically wore shorts without a shirt. Daw and the Japanese soldier had a common interest in cooking and they shared their respective knowledge regarding Burmese and Japanese cooking methods. After a period of time, Daw lost contact with this soldier. (2)

Reincarnation & Gender Change, Past Life Story of Japanese CookReincarnation & Planning Lifetimes: Daw has an Announcing Dream involving the Japanese Soldier as a Spirit Being

Time passed and Daw became pregnant with a fourth child. During this pregnancy, Daw had a recurrent dream in which “a stocky Japanese soldier wearing short pants and no shirt followed her and said he would come and stay with them” … She recognized him as the Japanese army cook. “In the dream Daw Aye Tin was afraid of the soldier and told him not to follow her. The same dream occurred three times at intervals of five to ten days.” (3)

Reincarnation Birthmark on Ma’s Groin and a Phobia of Aircraft

Daw gave birth to another daughter on December 26, 1953, who was given the name Ma Tin Aung Myo. It was noted that she had a birthmark, described as a dark patch the size of a thumb, on her groin. The birthmark appeared to itch, as Ma would scratch it. (4)

As a child, Ma demonstrated a severe phobia of aircraft flying overhead. When she was 4 years old, as she was walking with her father, a plane flew by and Ma began frightened and began to cry. Her father asked what was wrong, but Ma would only say, “I want to go home, I want to go home.” (5)

Thereafter, whenever a plane flew overhead Ma would cry. In response to her father’s inquiries regarding her fear, Ma explained that she was afraid the planes would shoot them.

Her father explained to Ma that in the past planes shot at people, but that this no longer occurred. Recall that the Japanese occupation of Burma, with the associated Allied aircraft machine gun strafing runs, ended in 1945. Ma was born in 1953 and as such, Ma had never witnessed planes shooting at people. Her father’s attempts to reassure her failed and Ma continued to have a severe phobia of planes for years. (6)

reincarnation-japanese-soldier-gender-identity-issuesA Child’s Past Life Memories: Ma says She misses Japan and her Family

In addition to having this phobia, Ma often appeared depressed and would sit by herself weeping. When she was asked what was wrong, Ma said, “I am pining for Japan.” (7)

She then began telling her family that she had memories of being a Japanese soldier stationed in Nathul, who was shot and killed by machine gun fire that came from an airplane.

Her memories gradually became more detailed. She said that she had been a male Japanese soldier who came from northern Japan, who was married and had 5 children. He was stationed in Nathul as a cook. (8)

Past Life Memory: Ma Remembers being Shot and Killed by an Airplane in a Past Lifetime

Ma remembered that she was near a pile of firewood and was about to start cooking a meal when the noise of an airplane approached. Ma recalled that the pile of firewood was next to an acacia tree, which stood about 75 meters from the house where Ma’s family lived.

She said that during this incident, the soldier, that she was, was wearing short pants and a big belt, but that he had taken off his shirt. Ma recalled that the pilot of the plane saw the Japanese cook and made a strafing run in an effort to kill him. The Japanese soldier ran around the pile of firewood trying to escape but a bullet struck him in the groin, which resulted in his death. (9)

Ma’s Reincarnation Birthmark is in the Location of the Japanese Soldier’s Bullet Wound

Recall that Ma was born with a birthmark in the area of her groin. Ian Stevenson has found that in many cases in which an individual died of a traumatic wound, such as a bullet or stab wound, a birthmark would be found in the same location in the individual’s next incarnation. In other words, a wound can become a birthmark. (10)

Reincarnation Japanese Soldier, Gender Identity Issues, P 38The US War Plane that Killed Ma in a Past Lifetime was a P-38 Lightning

Ma also recalled that the plane that killed her in the lifetime as the Japanese soldier had two tails. The plane Ma was referring had to be a Lockheed P-38 Lightning, which was an US-built fighter that was indeed used by the Allies in the Pacific Theater and in particular, in Burma.

Past Life Phobia of Aircraft

After sharing these memories, when an aircraft flew overhead that would frighten Ma and she was told by her relatives that her fear was unwarranted, Ma would angrily respond, “What do you know? I was shot and killed.”

In 1963, when Ma was 9 years old, a helicopter landed in a field in Nathul. Most villagers had never seen a helicopter and they gathered around to inspect this unusual machine. In contrast, Ma began crying and fled in fear to the family’s home. (11)

reincarnation-japanese-soldier-gender-identity-issuesPast Life Emotions: Ma wants to go Back to Japan

Ma told her family that she wanted to go back to Japan, as she missed her children from her prior lifetime. She said that when she grew up, she would move to Japan. She wanted a big belt, like the Japanese soldier had, to protect her stomach from the cold. Her identification with Japan was very unusual, as the Burmese did not have any fondness for the Japanese, due to their occupation of Burma and the attendant cruelties that the Japanese inflicted on the Burmese. The family demonstrated their annoyance by calling Ma, “the Japanese guy.” (12)

A Possible Case of Xenoglossy

Her family also noticed that Ma would talk to herself and other children using words they didn’t understand. Though the language Ma was speaking was not identified, it is possible that Ma was speaking Japanese. (13) If so, this represents the ability to speak a language learned in a previous lifetime, a phenomenon known as: Xenoglossy

Reincarnation & Gender Change: Ma Dresses like a Man and is Repulsed by her Menstruation

Ma demonstrated definite masculine traits. She insisted on wearing boy’s clothes and refused to wear girls’ apparel. When her mother tried to dress her as girl, she would throw the clothing aside. When Ian Stevenson asked her about this issue, Ma boasted that she didn’t own even one piece of women’s clothing. (14)

She wore her hair cropped short like a man’s and wore mens’ shirts. The clothing issue became a major problem when Ma was in sixth grade. School authorities demanded that she dress like a girl. Ma refused and had to drop out. (15)

When she had her first menstrual period, she hated it, stating that it was “unbecoming for a man.” (16)

Reincarnation & Gender Change: Ma Accepts that She is a Lesbian

In 1972, when Ma was 19, she told Ian Stevenson that she had no desire to be with men and that she wanted a woman to be her wife. She said that she already had a steady girlfriend at that time. (17)

In 1981, when Ma was 28 years old, she had a girlfriend whom she was living with. Ma said that if she married, she would wed a woman. Ma still talked about joining the army, “to live and fight with the men.” (18)

Change of Gender Reincarnation Cases may Explain Homosexuality in Some

This case demonstrates how reincarnation cases that involve gender change can provide an explanation for homosexuality, lesbianism, transsexualism and other gender issues. Ian Stevenson’s reincarnation studies, in aggregate, show that souls change gender in only 10 percent of cases. If a soul is accustomed to incarnating in one gender and then has a lifetime as the opposite gender, that soul may still identify with the previous, usual gender. This may lead to homosexuality, transsexualism, transgender issues and gender identity disorder.

Sasha Fleischman: An Agender Teen’s Skirt is Set on Fire

In November 2013, 18 year old Sasha Fleischman was taking the bus home from high school in Oakland, California. Sasha was born a male, but prefers to wear skirts. While riding the bus, Sasha fell asleep. A 16 year old high school student then set Sasha’s skirt on fire. Sasha incurred second and third degree burns and had to be hospitalized at the St. Francis Bothin Burn Center, in San Francisco.

Initial media reports characterized the incident as a hate crime, though the defendant’s attorney has indicated that it actually was intended to be a harmless prank, which went terribly wrong. Regardless, individuals who are gay, lesbian or transsexual have been victims of persecution. Recall the case of Matthew Shepard.

It may be that the soul of Sasha is accustomed to incarnating as a female. Though male in his contemporary lifetime, Sasha appears to have a female mindset, which could account for his preference to wear skirts.

Reincarnation can help us be more tolerant of individuals with gender identity issues by giving insight that such issues can be a complication of changing gender from one lifetime to another. In the course of our evolution through lifetimes on Earth, any of us can experience gender confusion when we incarnate into a sex that we are not accustomed to. I do believe that we all do change gender in our course of lifetimes on Earth, as the soul seeks a comprehensive understanding of what it is to be human, through both male and female incarnations

Principles of Reincarnation & Understanding Past Lives

Reincarnation & Change in Gender: The Japanese soldier was male, but reincarnated as Ma, a female. Ian Stevenson’s past life research indicates that in 90 percent of cases, souls reincarnate in the same gender, inferring that souls have a preferred sex or gender. In this case, Ma retained the masculine orientation of the Japanese soldier, including an attraction to women, which led to Ma becoming a lesbian. It appears that this soul was accustomed to incarnating as a man and though a woman in the incarnation of Ma, retained the mindset of a male.

Reincarnation Japanese Soldier, Gender Identity Issues, P 38Phobia from a Past Lifetime: Ma demonstrated a severe phobia of airplanes, apparently due to being shot and killed in an Allied P-38 strafing run in her past lifetime as a Japanese soldier.

Birthmark at the Site of a Past Life Wound: Ian Stevenson, MD, found that when an individual died of a traumatic wound, such as those inflicted by a gun or knife, a birthmark would be found in the same location in the subsequent lifetime. In this case, Ma had a birthmark on her groin, which is in the same location as the bullet wound that killed her in her lifetime as the Japanese cook, according to her past life memories.

Reincarnation and Change in Nationality: The Japanese soldier reincarnated as a Burmese woman. This case demonstrates the futility of war, as the Japanese occupied Burma and persecuted its citizens. In this case, the persecutor reincarnated as the persecuted.

Reincarnation and Planning Lifetimes: Daw, Ma’s mother, during her pregnancy, had a dream of the Japanese soldier in which the soldier indicated that he was coming to stay with them.

Spirit Beings in Reincarnation Cases: As noted above, from the spirit world, the Japanese soldier sent an announcing dream to Daw indicating he would be born to her.

Past Life Love Story with Spirit Being & Past LIfe Phobia: Turkish Reincarnation Case of Sehide Suzulmus | Cevriye Bayri

The Murder of Sehide Suzulmus

4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeykidskissThis case involves a woman, Sehide Suzulmus, who was murdered along with her husband, Abit, on January 31, 1957. It is a dramatic case, as a couple that was murdered together appear to have reincarnated in close proximity of one another. They were then able to meet and embrace one another as children. These cases demonstrate how souls can plan incarnations to ensure that those who loved one another in prior incarnations can be reunited in subsequent lifetimes through reincarnation.

Abit Suzulmus, Sehide’s husband, was murdered after an employee at his farm told him that an animal was lame. It was nighttime and in the dark, Abit went with the employee to the stable to look at the animal. When Abit leaned over to examine the animal, someone struck Abit over the head with a heavy metal bar or hammer, which killed him.

When Abit didn’t return to the house, Sehide, his wife, went to the stable to see what was delaying him. She too was killed by a blow to the head. Similarly, their two children, Zihni and Ismet, were also killed that night.

Two men were later hanged for these crimes, whose names were Ramazan and Mustafa. For a complete description of the lives of Abit and Sehide Suzulmus, please refer to the case of Abit Suzulmus | Ismail Altinkilic.

The Reincarnation of Sehide Suzulmus

Cevriye Bayri was born on October 1, 1958, in Adana, Turkey, just shy of two years after the death of Sehide Suzulmus. Her father was Kerim Bayri, who was a tinsmith, and her mother was named Cemile.

Soul Plan: An Announcing Dream

After Cevriye was born, Kerim, her father, had a dream in which Abit Suzulmus appeared to him. Recall that Abit is the one who was murdered along with his wife, Sehide. As the murder of Abit was well publicized in Adana, Kerim knew who Abit was. In the dream, Abit told Kerim that he was sending him a gift that he should look after. When Kerim asked what the gift was, Abit replied:

“The one who has come with you.” (1)

This dream occurred when Abit Suzulmus had already reincarnated as Ismail Altinkilic, who was about a year old at the time Kerim had his dream. As such, this dream indicates that the soul can function independently of its physical incarnations, which is further discussed in the section entitled Soul Evolution.

iisis4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeymanwithhammerPast Life Memories: Cevriye Remembers her Murder and Demonstrates a Phobia of the Dark from a Past Lifetime

As soon as Cevriye could speak, she tried to communicate something that was unclear, but as her verbal skills improved, the words she was trying to say evolved into the following statement:

“Ramazan killed.” (2)

As a small child, Cevriye had a pronounced phobia of the dark. This phobia persisted at least to when she was 15 years old. As one example, when the electricity at their home when out, Cevriye began crying and ran to her mother, exclaiming:

“Ramazan is going to kill me.” (3)

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyIslamicPregnantBetween the ages of two and three, she described how she was murdered in a prior incarnation. She said that she had gone in search of her husband, who had been killed by Ramazan. She said that she then too was killed by Ramazan by a hammer. Cevriye said that she had been killed in the dark and that she was pregnant at the time of her death.

Cevriye told her parents that her name had been Sehide and that her husband’s name was Abit Suzulmus.

All of these details were historically correct, as recounted in the case of Abit Suzulmus | Ismail Altinkilic. In addition, Cevriye said that as Sehide, she gave birth to her child after her death. Indeed, Sehide Suzulmus was going into labor at the time of her murder, but it was not publicly known that she had delivered after her death. As part of the investigation of the murders, Sehide’s body had been exhumed from her tomb and it was found that indeed, her unborn baby had been partially extruded from Sehide’s body.

A skeptic could claim that Cevriye’s knowledge of the murder of Sehide could have come from coaching by her father, Kerim, as the murders were well publicized and Kerim did have the announcing dream that involved Abit. The recognitions made by Cevriye that are provided below, though, could not have involved coaching, as they were spontaneous events.

Past Life Memories: Cevriye’s Recognition of Past Life Relatives and Friends

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyIceCream (1)At two years of age, Cevriye recognized an ice cream seller that she had known in her lifetime as Sehide. She told him that on the day that she, as Sehide, had been murdered, she had given the ice cream seller, who was poor, some food to eat. The ice cream seller confirmed that Sehide did give him food on the same day that she was murdered.

When Cevriye was less than three years of age, she was introduced to Hatice, the second wife of Abit Suzulmus. Cevriye was told that this person was a friend or partner in her past incarnation, without being given Hatice’s name. Cerviye spontaneously identified Hatice by name.

Cevriye recognized Fehime, her sister from her past incarnation as Sehide Suzulmus. In addition, Cevriye was able to identify Gulserne, who was Sehide’s surviving daughter. When they met, Cevriye named Sehide’s children and when Gulserne asked who she was, Cevriye responded, “Gulserne.” (4)

Cevriye was taken to the Suzulmus home by her mother, Cemile, and was asked if she could identify a young woman who was referred to as “this girl.” Cevriye was given no other clues, but she spontaneously identified the girl as Hikmet, another surviving daughter of Abit and Sehide Suzulmus. Cevriye then ran to Hikmet, hugged her and then related to her how she had been killed as Sehide.

When Cevriye was introduced to Ziki, the surviving son of Abit and Sehide, she embraced him and started to cry. She then stated, “This is my son.” Cevriye asked Ziki if Hattice, the second wife of Abit, was taking good care of him. (5)

Cemile, Ceviye’s mother, obtained a photo from the Suzulmus family of Abit and Sehide. When Ceviye was between two and three years old, Cemile showed the photo to Ceviye and asked who the people were in the picture. Ceviye replied:n“This is my photograph and my husband.” (6)

When Cevriye was five years of age and she and her mother were passing a restaurant, Cevriye recognized her past life friend, Gullu, inside the restaurant. Her mother, Cemile, did not know Gullu. Still, they went inside the restaurant and Cevriye correctly identified the woman as Gullu. Gullu was about 70 years old at the time and she denied any familiarity with Cevriye or her family. As such, this represents an accurate past life memory.

iisis4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeymanwithhammerCevriye then asked Gullu, “What happened to Semiha? I was going to get her married to Ramazan. What a way to repay me!” (7)

Semiha Akdi was a girl employed by Abit and Sehide. Sehide wanted Semiha to marry their other employee Ramazan, but Ramazan ruined this plan by murdering Abit and Sehide.

Nadir Mirel was a friend of Sehide Suzulmus. When she heard of Cevriye’s memories of being Sehide, she visited the young girl with two friends. As a test, Nadir asked Cevriye:

“Who was your tailor?” (8)

Cevriye’s mother, Cemile, did not know the answer to this question, yet Cevriye pointed to one of the other women who came with Nadir, whose name was Nadir Midel. While pointing at Nadir, Cevriye stated, “There is my tailor.” (9) Cevriye was correct; Nadir was the tailor of Sehide Suzulmus.

Past Life Emotions: Cevriye’s Attachment to Sehide, her Past Life Name

Cevriye had an attachment to the name, Sehide. She asked her mother many times to change her name to Sehide. This phenomenon, of a person wanting to change their name to that of a past life identity, also occurred in the case of Abit Suzulmus | Ismail Altinkilic, as well as the case of Francesco Foscari | Wayne Peterson.

Past Life Love: Cevriye | Sehide and Abit | Ismail are Reunited through Reincarnation

iisis4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeykidskissWhen Cevriye’s memories of being Sehide in a past lifetime were conveyed to the family of Ismail Altinkilic, both families wished to see what would happen if Cevriye and Ismail were brought together. Ismail had memories since childhood of being Abit Suzulmus, the husband of Sehide, who was murdered with her. A meeting between Cevriye and Ismail was arranged when Cevriye was four years of age and Ismail was about five.

According to Ismail’s father, when Cevriye and Ismail first met, they ran to each other, hugged and kissed. Cevirye’s mother also related that Ismail hugged Cevirye.

Cevirye’s account of the meeting, as related to Ian Stevenson, was that Ismail held and caressed her hand, that they exchanged gifts and that they then related to each other the memories of how they were murdered.

Ismail asked Cevirye why she did not come to his aid when he cried out for help at the time of his murder. Cevirye posed the same question to Ismail. Ismail replied that he was “near his ox.” (10)

Up until five or six years of age, Cevirye kept referring to Abit Suzulmus as “my husband.” Ian Stevenson noted that she spoke in the present tense, as if Abit was still her husband in contemporary times. (11)

Ismail consistently stated that he wanted to marry Cevirye, at least through his last meeting with Ian Stevenson, which occurred in 1973. At the time of this meeting with Stevenson, Ismail was 16 year of age when he reported his continuing love for Cevirye.

Past Life Emotions, Past Life Love Story & Past Life Children

iisis4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeycryinggirlWhen she was between one and one and a half years old, her father, Kerim, said that Cevirye made the following statement:

“Who knows whether my children are hungry?” (12)

Cevirye’s brother said that when Cevirye was young, she often asked to be taken to where Sehide’s children were staying. Eventually, Cevirye was taken to the home of Hatice Suzulmus, the first and surviving wife of Abit Suzulmus. Hatice was raising the surviving children of Abit and Sehide Suzulmus.

When Cevirye asked to see Zeki, a son of Abit and Sehide, Hatice was uncooperative. Cevirye was persistent and found Zeki sleeping upstairs, where she caressed him lovingly.

Cevirye continued to show attachment to the children of Abit and Sehide at least until she was 14 years of age. When Ziki, her son from her past incarnation, was married, Cevirye and was very upset that she was not invited.

Cevirye continued to visit Ziki and Hikmet, the surviving children of Abit and Sehide, through 1973, when Cevirye was 15 years of age.

Similarly, when Ismail was young, he was very concerned with Abit’s children and wished to take care of them. Ismail insisted that his father take food to the children of Abit and Sehide. These episodes are detailed in the case of Abit Suzulmus | Ismail Altinkilic.

Ian Stevenson last met with Cevirye on her birthday, on October 1, 1967, when she was 15 years old. Stevenson was surprised by the charming young woman who met him at the door, as he had not seen her for a few years.

Cevirye related to Ian Stevenson that she would sometimes meet Ismail on the street, but that she found it embarrassing to speak to him. She still continued, though, to visit Sehide’s children, Ziki and Hikmet, from time to time.

Principles of Reincarnation & Understanding Past Lives

Spirit Being Involvement: There are two instances in this case which involve spirit beings.

First, there was the dream that Kerim, the father of Cevirye, had just after she was born. In this dream, Abit Suzulmus appeared to him and told Kerim that he was sending him a gift that he should look after. Abit was referring to Cevirye, who was Abit’s wife, Sehide, in their prior incarnations.

Recall that Abit had already reincarnated as Ismail Altinkilic and that Ismail was about a year old when this dream occurred. This demonstrates how the soul can function independently of its physical incarnations, as the soul of Abit | Ismail was able to communicate to Kerim in a dream while Ismail was incarnate. This ability of the soul to function independently of its physical incarnations is further discussed in the section entitled, Soul Evolution.

A second example of spirit beings involves Cevriye’s knowledge that Sehide’s baby was born after she was murdered. As Sehide had been killed, she must have observed from the spirit world what happened after her death. Recall that the criminal investigation of the murder involved opening Sehide’s tomb to see if she was pregnant when she was killed. When the tomb was opened, it was found that she was indeed pregnant and that the child was partially extruded from her womb.

Past Life Phobia: As a small child, Cevriye had a pronounced phobia of the dark, which persisted at least to when she was 15 years old. As one example, when the electricity at their home went out and the house became dark, Cevriye began crying and ran to her mother, exclaiming:

“Ramazan is going to kill me.” (13)

Recall that in her past lifetime as Sehide, she was murdered by Ramazan in the dark when she went to see what was delaying her husband, Abit, when he went to the stable to check on a lame animal.

Family Relationships Reunited through Reincarnation: Abit and Sehide Suzulmuz were murdered together in Adana, Turkey, on January 31, 1957. Shortly thereafter, they reincarnated together in Adana.

Abit reincarnated on September 30, 1957 as Ismail Altinkilic, while Sehide reincarnated as Cevriye Bayri on October 1, 1958. As such, both reincarnated less than two years after their murders.

When Cevriye’s family learned of Ismail’s memories of being Abit, they arranged a meeting for the children, which occurred when Ismail was about five and Cevriye was four years of age.

Ismail continued to declare his love and intention to marry Cevirye at least until he was 16 years of age. In contrast, at the same time, when Cevirye was 15 years of age, she related to Ian Stevenson that when they would spontaneously meet on the street, she was embarrassed to speak to Ismail of their past lifetimes together.

Though we don’t know if Cevirye and Ismail were ever able to renew a romance in a story book fashion, we do know that Abit and Sehide were able to meet again and renew relationships though reincarnation, as Ismail and Cevirye.

Past Life Love & Story: Soul Plan, Spirit Being & Geographic Memory Turkish Reincarnation Case of Abit Suzulmus | Ismail Altunkalic

Abit Suzulmus | Ismail Altunkalic case is one of the best documented of all Turkish reincarnation cases. Sehide was Abit’s pregnant wife, murdered the same time that Abit was, Cevriye Bayri reported having memories of being Sehide, which will be discussed in the Sehide Suzulmus | Cevriye Bayri reincarnation case review.

The Murder of a Farmer and his Pregnant Wife

iisis4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeyoxenAbit Suzulmus lived in Adana, Turkey, in the Bey district. His exact date of birth is unknown, but it is thought that he was born around 1912. He grew fruits and vegetables and he did well enough to own two houses. He was also able to hire others to help him work his land.

Abit married twice. His first wife, Hatice, did not bear children, so he took a second wife, Sehide, who had five children with him. Abit had his two wives live separately in his two houses. The houses were 350 meters apart.

On January 31, 1957, Abit, at his home where Sehide lived, was told by one of his employees that one of his farm animals was sick. Sehide was nine months pregnant at the time and was starting to go into labor. Abit went with the employee to the stable to tend to the animal. As Abit leaned down to examine the animal, he was struck in the head with a heavy hammer. Abit was killed by this blow to the head when he was about 45 years old.

iisis4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeymanwithhammerWhen he failed to return to the house, Sehide went to the stable to see what was delaying Abit. Sehide was then also murdered with the hammer, as where their children, Zihni and Ismet.

Several people were arrested in connection with these crimes but only two, known as Ramazan and Mustafa, were convicted of the murders. They were eventually hanged.

Spirit Being & Soul Plan: An Announcing Dream of Abit Returning

Mehmet Altinkilc and his wife, Nebihe, lived in the Midik section of Adana, Turkey. A neighbor, Fatma Tanrisven, who lived a few hundred meters or yards from the Altinkilc family, had a dream that involved the Altinkilcs.

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyIslamicPregnantIn Fatma’s dream, Abit Suzulmus, the man who was murdered in Adana along with his wife and two children, was sitting in the home of Mehmet Altinkilc. Three men walking along the road outside the Altinkilc home called out to Abit and asked him to come out of the house. Abit replied:

“No, I am going to stay here, I will not come back.” (1)

Fatma told her husband, Mahmut, about the dream and the next day he went to the home of Mehmet Altinkilc to share the dream with him. It turned out that Nebihe, Mehmet’s wife, was pregnant. Neither Fatma or Mahmut knew that Nebihe was expecting a child.

Once Mahmut learned that Nebihe was pregnant, he interpreted his wife’s dream to mean that Nebihe’s child would be a boy and that he would be Abit Suzulmus reincarnated. Mahmut told Mehmet and Nebihe Altinkilc about his wife’s dream and his prediction that Abit would be born to them.

Mehmet knew who Abit Suzulmus was, not only from the publicity that resulted from the murders, but also because Mehmet and Abit had some business dealings in the past. To Mehmet, though, Abit was just an acquaintance, not a friend. During the investigation of this reincarnation case, Mehmet stated that he did not know personal details of Abit’s life. For example, Mehmet stated that he did not know the names of Abit’s children or other family members.

Validation of Ismail Altinkilic’s Past Life Memories

Nebihe Altinkilic did have a son who was born on September 30, 1957, nine months after Abit Suzulmus was murdered. Mehmet and Nebihe named him Ismail. When he was one and a half years old, just after he started talking and walking, Ismail started to speak about his past lifetime as Abit Suzulmus.

Before Ismail’s many past life memories are shared, let me explain that Ian Stevenson methodically validated these statements as being historically correct. In his book, Cases of the Reincarnation Type: Lebanon and Turkey, Stevenson presents an extensive, 15 page table in which he identifies which witnesses or other objective sources, such as police records, that were used to validate Ismail’s memories. (2)

Past Life Memories: Ismail Speaks of his Life and Murder as Abit Suzulmus

Mehmet, Ismail’s father, related that as soon as Ismail was able to speak fluently, he spoke of his past lifetime as Abit Suzulmus. R. Bayer, who was a colleague of Ian Stevenson, tape-recorded Mehmet’s description of the turn of events. A portion of the transcription is provided below:

“One evening I had come in from work very tired and had stretched out on a sofa. Ismail was sitting beside me and came over and sat on me. Being very tired, I said, in order to get rid of him:

‘Ismail, I am terribly tired. Go away.’

He replied:

‘No, no. I am not Ismail. I am Abit.’

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkey4Women…I became annoyed at this absurdity and tried again to send him away, scolding him. But he insisted he was Abit. So then I asked him whether he died married or a bachelor.

[He replied:]

‘But Papa, I have two wives. One is called Hatice and the other Sehide.’

[So I said:]

‘Have you any children, my boy?’

And he replied:

‘Yes, Papa. Yes, yes. Gulseren, Zeki and Hikmet.’

He also said that he was owed debts by various persons, mentioning Saban, Abdurrezzak, and another person of Akkapi [another district of Adana]. He also complained of our poverty, and added the he hoped that debtors would pay up.” (3)

Ismail also described to his father how Abit was murdered. Ismail said that Ramazan had told him that an ox was lame, which is why he, Abit went to the stable.

iisis4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeyoxenWhen Abit leaned over to examine the ox, Ramazan killed him by hitting him over the head with a bar of iron that was shaped as a hammer. Ismail used his fingers to show his father what the hammer looked like.

Ismail explained to his father that as Abit, he had two wives, as his first wife could not bear children. He also said that his wife Sehide was very beautiful. He said that he worked as a vegetable farmer and that in his garden, he had fruit trees, including orange and quince trees.

Ismail said that as Abit he had cows and that one cow was named “Susan.” He said that in his past incarnation he had two horses. In the stable, Ismail said that he had a fodder barrel and that he has placed a bed in the stable. Ian Stevenson was able to verify that all these past life memories were correct.

Geographic Past Life Memory: Ismail finds his Past Life Home

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyHouseAdanaIsmail continued to insist that his name was Abit and he demanded that he be taken to Abit’s home and family. Abit’s family heard about Ismail’s claims and Abit’s surviving wife, Hatice, and his daughter, Gulseren, came to visit him at the home of Mehmet and Nebihe. Ismail developed very strong emotional bonds to them.

When Ismail was three years old, Mehmet decided to see if Ismail could find the home of Abit. Recall that Abit lived in the Bey district of Adana and Mehmet and his family lived in the Midik district. The distance between the Bey and Midik districts is about 2 kilometers or a little over one mile.

Though Abit had two homes, Ismail correctly led the way over a distance of 2 kilometers directly to the house where Abit was murdered, even though Ismail in his contemporary lifetime had never been to Abit’s homes. There, he recognized people that Abit knew and recognized places related to Abit.

This is reminiscent of the Anne Frank | Barbro Karlen case, as Barbro, at 10 years of age, was able to lead her parents from their hotel through the winding streets of Amsterdam directly to the Anne Frank House, though she had never been to Amsterdam before. The Frank | Karlen case also shows that facial features can remain consistent from one lifetime to another, and that religion, nationality and ethnic affiliation can change from one incarnation to another.

Past Life Memories: Uncle Mahmut gets Goose Bumps when Ismail describes their Drinking Parties with Women

iisis4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeyrakipartyIsmail told his father that as Abit, he liked to drink raki, which is a strong alcoholic drink made in Turkey, and that he liked to drink raki with his friends. He identified one drinking buddy as being Abdurrezzak, which was true. Abdurrezzak Baydar did indeed drink raki with Abit.

He also said that he would drink raki every night with his uncle, whose name was Mahmut Altinkilic. Ismail explained that he, as Abit, and his Uncle Mahmut worked the fruit and vegetable fields together. In addition, they jointly owned a garden and that they would have drinking parties in. Ismail noted that when he and Mahmut would drink, they would snack on sama.

Further, Ismail said that he, as Abit, and Uncle Mahmut would invite women to their drinking parties.

When Mahmut Altinkilic heard Abit describe that they had women over for the parties, he said he developed goose bumps. Mahmut explained that he was sure that no one other than Abit and he knew about the women that they invited to their parties in the garden. It was this very personal secret that Ismail knew, which could not be explained except by Ismail being the reincarnation of Abit, that made Mahmut’s flesh react in this way.

Past Life Memories: Ismail Remembers People Who owed him Money in his Prior Lifetime as Abit

Ismail told his father that at the time that he died as Abit, that several individuals owed him money. He said that two of the people who owed him money were named Abdurezzak and Sabit.

Abdurezzak Baydar admitted that at the time of Abit’s death, he owed Abit 200 Turkish lira and Sabit Devici stated that he owed 200-300 Turkish lira to Abit when he died. Again, Ismail’s memories were correct.

When Sabit Devici learned about Ismail’s claim to be the reincarnation of Abit, Sabit sought him out. Sabit had never met Ismail before and Ismail, in his contemporary incarnation, had never met Sabit. Sabit first met Ismail when Ismail was without his mother, father or others who could have identified Sabit. Sabit asked Ismail who he was and Ismail replied, “Sabit.” (4)

Past Life Memories: Ismail Spontaneously Recognizes his Past Life Friend, Rasit, the Ice Cream Seller

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyIceCream (1)When Ismail was about three years old, he spontaneously recognized and identified by name Rasit Tathci, an ice cream vender, as Rasit walked by. Ismail went to Rasit and not only identified Rasit, but he also told Rasit the names of his wife and several children. Rasit was impressed with Ismail’s recognition of him as Rasit lived in the Bey district, while Ismail saw him in the Medik district, where he sold ice cream. Rasit didn’t think anyone knew him in the Medik district.

Ismail also referred to Rasit as a “kirve.” This has significance as Abit was a close friend of Rasit and was to serve as the “kirve,” or sponsor, of the circumcision ceremony for Rasit’s son. In calling Rasit a kirve, Ismail appears to have gotten the roles reversed when Abit was alive, but still, he was accurate in identifying Rasit by name and referring to a role that had significance to Rasit and his past life friend, Abit.

Ismail was also able to spontaneously identify Rasit’s son, Ali Tathci. Upon seeing this man, Ismail said:

“That man is called Ali, and I worked with him.” (5)

Ali worked with his father selling ice cream, but he also had worked for Abit in his vegetable and fruit fields.

Past Life Memories: Ismail Recognizes Abit’s Chair and Accurately Admits a Debt

Abit regularly visited a shop owned by brothers whose family name was Kapiciobul. As Abit visited the shop on a daily basis, he complained that there was no chair for him. In response, a chair was brought in specifically for Abit, for him to sit in when he visited the shop.

When the Kapiciobul brothers had heard about Ismail’s claims to be the reincarnation of Abit Suzulmus, they sent word to Ismail’s father to bring him to the shop, so that they could meet him.

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyChairWhen Ismail was brought to the shop, he went directly to the chair that was reserved for Abit. When he was asked why he sat in that chair, Ismail responded that he had sat there often and that the chair belonged to him.

To test Ismail, one of the brothers named Ibrahim asked Ismail:

“Do I owe you money?” Ismail replied, “No, on the contrary, I owe you 100 lira.” (6)

Ismail’s statement was correct. Abit had owed the Kapiciobul brothers 100 lira.

Ismail’s Attachment to his Past Life Identity of Abit Suzulmus

As a child, Ismail insisted that his family call him Abit. When he was six years old and it was time to enroll in school, he demanded that he be registered as Abit Altunkalic, a demand that his father agreed to.

When he was seven years old, at the time when Ian Stevenson first met him, Ismail still would not respond to anyone unless he was addressed as Abit. Even in adulthood, Ismail was attached to the name and when Ian Stevenson met Ismail in 1973, when he was 16 years old, he showed Stevenson his identity card, in which his first name was listed as Abit.

Ismail’s attachment to the name Abit is reminiscent of the case of Francesco Foscari | Wayne Peterson. As a young child, Wayne refused to respond to his name Wayne. When his parents asked what he wanted to be called, he declared that his name was Francesco Foscari, though he had no idea where he got that name from. As an adolescent, Wayne even considered to legally change his name to Francesco Foscari. It took several decades for Wayne to realize that in a past lifetime, he was Francesco Foscari.

Past Life Emotions: Ismail’s Love for the Family of Abit Suzulmus

Ian Stevenson noted that Ismail had an intense and enduring attachment to Abit’s family. When Ismail saw a good cut of meat in his father’s butcher shop, he asked his father to prepare it and sent it to Abit’s children. When his father refused, Ismail wept for hours and would not eat. His father finally gave in and took the meat to the Suzulmus family. Ismail also asked his father to send watermelons to Abit’s family, which his father also resisted.

In 1964, when Ismail learned of the death of Abit’s mother, he cried and went to bed without dinner. When Abit’s son, Zeki, joined the military and left Adana, Ismail was upset as he was not informed or consulted in the matter.

Once, when Ismail was visiting the Suzulmus home, Abit’s daughter, Hekmit, was holding Ismail’s hand. He then told Hekmit that she was his daughter and that the house and garden belonged
to him.

During one period of his life, Ismail demanded to live with the Suzulmus family. Though this was not allowed, Ismail visited the Suzulmus family often and greatly enjoyed their time together. This is reminiscent of the Rashid Khaddege | Daniel Jurdi case, as Daniel would visit his past life family monthly. The Khaddege family even kept a cot or small bed for Daniel, so that he could sleep over on his visits.

Past Life Behaviors & Emotions: Ismail Demonstrates Behaviors Typical of Abit and Rejoices at the Hanging of Abit’s Murderer

iisis4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeymanwithhammerAbit Suzulmus had the habit of wearing a towel on his shoulder. Ismail spontaneously developed this same habit as a small child and continued to wear the towel on his shoulder until he was nine years old. Ismail’s father, Mehmet, pointed out that of the 18 children that he and his wife had, Ismail was the only one who demonstrated this trait.

As noted before, Ismail recalled how he, as Abit, enjoyed drinking raki with his friends. As a child, Ismail was discovered to secretly drink raki.

When, after a long series of legal delays, Ramazan, the murderer of Abit was finally hanged, Ismail’s parents observed that he was very pleased and clapped his hands in joy.

Past Life Love & Emotions: Abit and Sehide are Reunited through Reincarnation

Recall that Sehide was Abit’s wife, who was murdered at the same time that Abit was killed. A young woman named Cevriye Bayri came forward and claimed to have memories of being Sehide.

Cevriye’s father, who knew of the Ismail’s claim to be the reincarnation of Abit, arranged for his daughter and Ismail to meet.iisis4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeykidskiss

This was arranged at the Bayri’s home and when Ismail and Ceviye first saw one another, they ran to each other and hugged. Ismail said that he wanted to marry Ceviye and if he could not, he would die.

The Sehide Suzulmus | Ceviye Bayri reincarnation case is presented separately.

Principles of Reincarnation & Understanding Past Lives

Ian Stevenson pointed out that the Abit Suzulmus | Ismail Altunkalic case is one of the best documented of all Turkish reincarnation cases. This reincarnation case demonstrates the following features:

Soul Plan & Spirit Being Involvement: In an announcing dream, a neighbor of the Altunkalic family had a dream that was interpreted to mean that Abit Suzulmus would be reincarnated as the son of Nebihe Altunakalic, which appears to have indeed occurred. As such, it appears that the soul of Abit was able to communicate that he would be reborn nearby.

Geographic Past Life Memory: Ismail was able to lead his father directly to the home of Abit Suzulmus, where Abit and his wife, Sehide, were murdered. Ismail was only three years of age at the time that he showed the way to Abit’s home and he had not been shown the way before.

Family Relationships Renewed through Reincarnation: Sehide was Abit’s pregnant wife, who was murdered at the same time that Abit was. A young woman named Cevriye Bayri reported having memories of being Sehide. When Ismail and Cevriye first met, they embraced each other and Ismail expressed his desire to marry Cevriye. The reincarnation case of Sehide Suzulmus | Cevriye Bayri is presented separately.

Soul Plan in the Past Life Story of Poldi Holzmuller | Wolfgang Neurath: Reincarnation Case with Change in Gender

Poldi Holzmuller reincarnates as a boy, a reincarnation case that touches on gender identification.

How Derived: Memories in Childhood

Researchers: Dr. Karl Muller, Ian Stevenson, MD

From: European Cases of the Reincarnation Type, by Ian Stevenson, MD

Article by Walter Semkiw, MD

Poldi Holzmuller and her Lack of Attraction for Boys: Past Lives as a Man?

iisisreincarnationresearchtyrolPoldi Holzmuller was born in 1913 in Feldkirch, Austria to a Roman Catholic family. Her mother’s name was Elizabeth and her father’s Ernst. Poldi was a quiet child whose favorite hobby was cutting pictures from newspapers and saving them. Her favorite foods were puffed rice and noodle soup. As a teenage girl, she was independent and had no interest in boys. In fact, she even stated that she would have nothing to do with men, as if she was not attracted to them.

Ian Stevenson’s past life research indicates that souls reincarnate in the same gender 90 percent of the time. Poldi’s lack of attraction to men may be due to this soul having a majority of lifetimes in the male gender and as such, a male mind set, in which an attraction to women is the norm.

Poldi’s Aunt Tantele

Poldi was especially attached to her Aunt Anna, who lived in South Tyrol. Aunt Anna came to visit Poldi and her family occasionally. During her visits, Poldi and Aunt Anna were very affectionate. They would hug and kiss and they had pet names for each other. Poldi was “Poldile” and Anna was “Tantele,” which in German is a variant of tante, which means aunt. As such, Anna’s nick name was the equivalent of “Auntie.”

Poldi Contracts Tuberculosis

When Poldi was 19 years old, she developed pulmonary tuberculosis. Though the Holzmullers were Roman Catholic, Poldi and her mother Elizabeth has some interest in reincarnation. Poldi’s father, Ernst, did not believe in reincarnation.

Soul Plan: Poldi Says She Will Reincarnate Nearby as a Boy

Throughout the year 1933, Poldi was bedridden. As tuberculosis was often fatal, Poldi started to think about her death. She told her mother that if she reincarnated, she would be a boy and she would be reborn in the same neighborhood, so that she could be with her family again. Further, Poldi said if she reincarnated nearby, she would give them a sign, so that the Holzmullers would know that it was her.

Soul Plan: Poldi wants to Reincarnate & Ride in Marie Neurath’s Carriage

IISISReincarnationResearchBirdWireThe Holzmuller’s had a neighbor, Marie Neurath, who visited Poldi often during her illness. Marie became pregnant in the summer of 1933. On one visit, Marie told Poldi about a baby carriage she had bought in anticipation of having her new child. Poldi asked if she could accompany Marie on strolls with the new baby. She then added,
“But you know, what I really would like would be to be in the baby carriage myself.” (1)

Poldi died 16 months after she developed tuberculosis on January 13, 1934, at the age of 20.

Announcing Dream from Spirit Realm: Poldi Appears as a Swallow

After Poldi’s death, her mother, Elizabeth, had a dream in which she was in their garden watching swallows perched on a power line overhead. One of the swallows said:

“Mama, don’t you see me?”

Elizabeth replied: “Yes, but which swallow are you?”

Then she heard Poldi say: “I am here.” With that statement, one of the swallows flew into a room of Marie Neurath’s home. (2)

Reincarnation & Gender Change: Poldi Reincarnates as Wolfgang & Fulfills Carriage Soul Plan

iisisreincarnationresearchbabywithoutreachedarmsMarie Neurath had a son she named Wolfgang, who was born on March 3, 1934, less than three months after Poldi’s death. When Wolfgang was only 8 days old, Elizabeth, Poldi’s mother, visited the Neurath’s home to see the infant, who happened to be sleeping in the new baby carriage Marie had bought.

Wolfgang awoke and when he saw Elizabeth, he stretched out his hands and smiled, as if to greet her. Perhaps this was the sign that Poldi promised to give if she reincarnated nearby.

Past Life Recognition of Tantele & Fondness for Puff Rice & Clipping Newspapers

As a young boy, Wolfgang was observed to be effeminate, which he grew out of over time. His favorite foods were puffed rice and noodle soup, which we recall, were Poldi’s favorite foods. Also like Poldi, Wolfgang enjoyed cutting pictures out of newspapers and he was a quiet child, as was Poldi.

When Wolfgang was three, Aunt Anna came to visit the Holzmullers for the first time following Poldi’s death. Anna was in the family’s garden and Marie went over to chat with her. At that time, Wolfgang came out of the Neurath’s house and when he saw Anna, he ran joyfully to her, tried to climb the fence that separated them and cried out, “Tantele, Tantele,” the pet name that Poldi had given Anna. In contrast, Wolfgang did not call his contemporary aunts by this pet name; rather, he used the proper term “Tante.” (3)

Wolfgang Asks his Past Life Mother to Buy Him Puffed Rice

IISISReincarnationResearchPuffedRiceWhen Wolfgang was four years old, he ran into Elizabeth at the local grocery store. When she started to leave, Wolfgang said: “Wait for me until I have done my shopping. Then I will go back with you. We belong together, you now.” (4)

Wolfgang walked Elizabeth back to her home, passing up the Neurath home along the way. He then said, “I have to go back home over there. You know I live there now.” (5)

In another incident at the same grocery store, Wolfgang and his mother, Marie, met Elizabeth, Poldi’s mother. Wolfgang said to Elizabeth: “Mama, please buy some puffed rice for me. My mother over there won’t buy me any.” (6)

With this statement, if was as if Poldi was asking her mother, Elizabeth, to purchase her favorite food, puffed rice, which was not a staple at her new family’s home.

Wolfgang Knows his Way Around his Past Life Home

When Wolfgang was about 12 years old, he was running errands for Ernst Holzmuller, the husband of Elizabeth and the father of Poldi. Ernst asked Wolfgang to go back to the Holzmuller’s home to get something that he needed that was stored in the attic. Wolfgang ran over to the Holzmuller’s home and at the door, Elizabeth offered to get the needed article.

Wolfgang replied: “I already know where it is. I know this house well.” (7) In reality, Wolfgang had never been to the second floor of the Holzmuller’s house before, nor had he been to their attic. Ian Stevenson noted that on the second floor, there are 6 nearly identical doors along a central corridor. There was no way to know by looking at the doors which one led to the attic.

Nonetheless, Wolfgang ran up the stairs to the second floor, picked the correct door for the attic and scampered back with the article that Ernst needed.

This is reminiscent of how in the Anne Frank | Barbro Karlen reincarnation case, Barbro knew where pictures should have been found on a wall on her first visit to the Anne Frank House.

Acceptance of Wolfgang as the Reincarnation of Poldi

Elizabeth and Ernst Hollzmuller both believed that Poldi reincarnated as Wolfgang, due to the announcing dream, Wolfgang’s recognition of Tantele Anna, the common behavior of clipping photographs out of newpapers, his familiarity with the Hollzmuller’s home and attic, and his fondness for noodle soup and puffed rice. Note that the Neurath family did not eat puffed rice, as evidenced by Wolfgang having to implore Elizabeth to buy it for him.

The Hollzmuller’s also noted that Poldi, prior to her death, told Marie Neurath that she would like to be the baby that would occupy her new baby carriage. It appears that Poldi’s wish did come true.

Principles of Reincarnation & Understanding Past Lives

This reincarnation case demonstrates the following features:

Proximity Reincarnation Case and Planning a Future Lifetime: Though Poldi did not reincarnate in the same biologic family line, she reincarnated to the family next door, to be close to the Hollzmullers and Aunt Anne. I term this type of case as a proximity reincarnation case.

In this case, as in all same family reincarnation cases, a soul has actively made plans for an incarnation. As Poldi anticipated her death from tuberculosis, she told her mother, Elizabeth, that she would reincarnate as a boy, which she did as Wolfgang. She also told her mother that she would reincarnate nearby, so that she would be close to the Hollzmullers.

Gender Change: Poldi, a female, reincarnated as Wolfgang, a boy. We have noted that gender change occurs in 10 percent of reincarnation cases. This may be due to a soul having a natural male or female predisposition. It may be that the soul of Poldi | Wolfgang has a preference for male incarnations. Recall that Poldi seemed to have no interest in men. An attraction to men is a trait typical of women or souls with a preference for female incarnations. Poldi told her mother, Elizabeth, that she would be reincarnate as a boy. This appears to be her soul’s preferred gender.

Spirit Being Involvement from the Spirit Realm: From the spirit world, the soul of Poldi appears to have given her mother, Elizabeth, an announcing dream indicating that she would be born to Marie Neurath. In the dream, Poldi appeared as a bird on a wire that spoke to Elizabeth and then flew into Marie’s home.

Split Incarnation: Wolfgang was born only 2 ½ months after Poldi died. As such, Poldi was alive for the first 6 ½ months of Marie’s pregnancy with Wolfgang. If a soul is involved in the development of a fetus, then the soul of Poldi was involved in the development of Wolfgang’s fetus for 6 ½ months while Poldi was still alive. In other words, the soul of Poldi | Wolfgang was inhabiting two bodies at one time, which we have defined as split incarnation.

We observed this same phenomenon, of split incarnation involving a fetus, in another Stevenson reincarnation case, that of Hanan Monsour | Suzanne Ghanem.

Change in Religion: The Hollzmuller family was Roman Catholic, and though Elizabeth and Poldi had an interest in reincarnation, Ernst Hollzmuller did not. In the end, Elizabeth and Ernst came to believe that Poldi had indeed reincarnated as Wolfgang and as such, they had accepted that reincarnation as the way that the human soul evolves

Past Life Behavior, Past Life Geographic Memory & Past Life Phobia in Turkish Reincarnation Case of Ahmet Delibalta | Erkan Kilic

Ahmet Delibalta’s Nightclub, Bakery & Muslim Wife

iisis4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeycrashAhmet Delibalta was born in Adana, Turkey, in 1936. He married a woman named Mihriban and had three children with her. Ahmet also took a second wife, Fehime, a Turk who was an orthodox Muslim.

Ahmet owned a nightclub in Adana called “Havuz” and running this club was his passion. Havuz provided Ahmet with a very good income and he was able to afford a large and well-appointed house. Ahmet also owned a bakery in Adana.

Ahmet Freezes to Death after a Plane Crash

In 1962 he went to Istanbul to find a female singer for his nightclub. His second wife, Fehime, was pregnant when he left for this two week business trip. In Istanbul, Ahmet chose a woman named Rengin Arda as his singer. On March 8, 1962, he was bringing Rengin back to Adana by airplane. IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyMountain1Unfortunately, the Turkish Airlines airplane they were on crashed in the snow-covered Toros Mountains. It was thought the passengers died on impact.

The investigation that followed, though, revealed that the plane had landed in soft snow, but in a very remote area, which meant that rescuers could not reach the downed plane for several days. Passengers who survived the crash, including Ahmet, froze to death. Ahmet was about 35 years old when he died.

In Error, A Jewish Man’s Body is Received by Ahmet’s Family

In recovering bodies from the crash, a mistake was made in identifying Ahmet’s body. Initially, the body of another passenger, who was Jewish, was identified as Ahmet. This occurred when Ahmet’s younger brother declined to view the body itself, as it was too emotionally distressing for him. Instead, he asked to be shown clothing from the body. Mistakenly, he identified the clothing from the Jewish man as the clothing that belonged to Ahmet. The body of the Jewish man was then buried in a cemetery under the name of Ahmet Delibalta.

The error was subsequently discovered when the rest of the bodies were brought down from the mountain. One of the bodies had the Ahmet’s identify card on it. The body of the Jewish man who was mistakenly buried as Ahmet had to be exhumed and buried elsewhere.

Soul Plan: An Announcing Dream

Latife Kilic lived in Adana, Turkey, with her husband Yusuf. A week before Ahmet Delibalta’s plane crashed, she had a dream. In this dream, Ahmet Delibalta appeared, who Latife only knew by sight, not by acquaintance. In the dream, Ahmet gave her a gift and then laid down on the bed between Latife and Yusef. When she woke, Latife asked her husband:

“What does that nightclub man want at our place?” (1)

Latife was pregnant and near term. Yusuf interpreted the dream to mean that they would have a boy. Approximately two weeks later, Latife did have a boy, which we will see appears to have indeed been the reincarnation of Ahmet Delibalta.

Past Life Phobia: Erkan Kilic is Born with an Intense Fear of Airplanes

Turboprop airplaneErkan Kilic was born in Adana, Turky, around the day of March 13, 1962, just a few days after the airplane crash that killed Ahmet Delibalta. As noted, his parents were Yusuf Kilic and his wife, Latife, who were Arabs. Erkan was one of 15 children born to Latife and Yusuf. Yusuf worked for his nephew, Zekeriya Kilic, who owned a business selling electrical equipment. Yusef and Latife were relatively poor.

Before Erkan could even speak, he demonstrated a great fear of airplanes, which was triggered by seeing an airplane or by hearing their engines. Upon these occasions, Erkan would run to his mother or hide under his bed. This phobia lasted until he was three years of age.

Phobias from past life traumas are common in reincarnation cases. In the case of Rashid Khaddege | Daniel Jurdi, Daniel had a phobia of fast moving cars, which resulted from his death as Rashid Kaddege in an automobile accident. In the case of Anne Frank | Barbro Karlen, Barbro had a fear of men in uniform, stemming from Anne Frank’s persecution by Nazi’s. Both the Kaddege | Jurdi and Frank | Karlen cases show that facial features can remain the same from lifetime to lifetime. The Anne Frank | Barbro Karlen case demonstrates that one can change religion and nationality from one incarnation to another.

Past Life Memories: Erkan Tells Latife that He is Ahmet Delibalta & She is Not his Real Mother

Erkan began to talk when he was between two and three years of age,. As soon as he could speak, he told Latife that she was not his mother. He asked to be taken to his real mother and to his wife. Erkan also said that his real name was Ahmet Delibalta and that he had a nightclub called “Havuz,” as well as a bakery. As noted, Erkan’s parents knew who Ahmet Delibalta was and of his death in a plane crash, but they denied having any personal acquaintance with Ahmet.

The phenomenon of a child telling the biologic mother that she is not the child’s real mother, along with the demand by the child to be taken to their real mother, is common in reincarnation cases studied by Ian Stevenson. As another example, in the case of Anne Frank | Barbro Karlen, little Barbro also told her parents that they were not her real parents and that their home was not her real home. Barbro informed her biologic parents that her real parents would soon come to get her and take her back to her real home.

Past Life Memories: Erkan Describes his Death as Ahmet Delibalta

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyFreezeWhen Erkan was two to three years old, he reported details of his death in a past lifetime. He told his mother, Latife, that he had gone to Istanbul to find a singer for his nightclub. On the way back from Istanbul, their plane crashed in the Toros mountains.

Little Erkan also knew that he, as Ahmet, did not die in the crash of the plane. Rather, Erkan said that he died later by freezing to death. Ian Stevenson was particularly impressed by this statement made by Erkan, as everyone associated with this reincarnation case thought that all the victims had died on impact. Only those very familiar with the investigation of the crash knew that some passengers, including Ahmet Delibalta, did survive the crash and later froze to death.

Spirit Being in Reincarnation Case: Ahmet, from the Spirit World, Observes Recovery of his Body

Erkan also knew that his body was confused with that of a Jewish man who was also on the plane. Ahmet’s brothers reported that the Delibalta family was very embarrassed about this incident and tried to keep it secret. As such, the confusion regarding the bodies was not well-known outside the immediate family. As such, how could Erkan, as a child, know this detail?

Erkan’s knowledge of the confusion about the identity of the bodies also implies that after his death, Ahmet was able to observe the recovery of bodies and the chain of events that led to the wrong body being buried in Ahmet’s grave. As such, this represents an example of spirit being involvement in a reincarnation case.

Past Life Memories: Erkan Identifies Past Life Family Members

When Erkan was two to three years old, he made accurate statements regarding the names of his past life family. He said that in his lifetime as Ahmet, his father was named Yunus, his mother Emine, his sons Veysel and Ali, his daughter Aysel, his sister Turkan and his mother-in-law Katibe. All these statements were correct.

Erkan also reported that his wife’s name was Mihriban and that he had another wife named Fehime. Erkan said the he preferred Mihriban over Fehime, which was verified by Ahmet’s brother-in-law.

Erkan was also able to identify members of Ahmet Delibalta’s family from photographs. He correctly identified Ahmet’s wife, Mihriban, and two of Ahmet’s children, Veysel and Aysel, in these photos. It is not clear whether Erkan had already met Mihriban when he saw these pictures, but Ian Stevenson found the identification of Veysel and Aysel, as small children, as impressive.

Geographic Past Life Memory: Erkan Finds his Way to his to Wife, Mihriban, and his Past Life Home

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyHouseWhen Erkan was two to three years old, he expressed a desire to visit places from his past lifetime as Ahmet. On his own, he walked to the home of Ahmet Delibalta, which was 200 meters away from the Kilic home. Ahmet’s widow, Mihriban, was still living there. There, Erkan introduced himself to Mihriban.

Later on, when Latife was with Mihriban and Mihriban’s sister-in-law, Latife asked who his wife in his past lifetime was. Without any hesitation, Erkan correctly pointed to Mihriban.

On another occasion, Erkan had completely disappeared from the Kilic home, which caused a panic. His parents later found him in the Ahmet Delibalta’s home, with Ahmet’s first wife, Mihriban.

After Erkan found the Delibalta home, he went there on his own often and would stay sometimes until 10 or 11 at night. A Kilic family member had to go to retrieve him. Latife, Erkan’s mother, found Erkan’s frequent visits to the Delibalta’s home so annoying that she started to beat him to prevent him from going there.

When Mihriban would take her children to visit her sister, who lived in a house across the street from the Kilic family, Erkan would climb on the roof and watch them. When asked what he was doing, Erkan explained that he was “watching his wife and children.” Ian Stevenson noted that Erkan repeatedly was observed to climb on the roof to watch Mihriban and her children. (2)

Geographic Past Life Memory: Erkan Finds the Apartment of Fehime, his Past Life Second Wife

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyAdanaOne day, Erkan insisted to Latife, his mother, that he wanted to visit Fehime. Latife knew that Fehime lived in the same apartment building as her physician, so she took Erkan there and went to the physician’s door, hoping he could direct them to where Fehime lived. The physician was not home.

Erkan then led Latife to another door in the apartment building and knocked on it. Fehime answered. Latife then introduced herself. Fehime had heard about Erkan’s claims to be the reincarnation of Ahmet.

Fehime then asked Erkan, “Do you recognize me?” (3)

Erkan replied: “You are Fehime.” (4)

Fehime then asked, “What relation am I to you?” (5)

Erkan replied: “You are my wife.” (6)

Fehime then introduced Erkan to a small girl who was in the apartment. She asked Erkan if he knew who she was.

Erkan replied: “How could I recognize her since you were pregnant and suffering labor pains?” (7)

Ahmet, as a Spirit Being, Observes Fehime in Labor

Fehime had delivered her daughter two days after Ahmet’s plane crashed in the Toros Mountains. Ahmet, did not die in the crash, though it is not known how long he lived after the crash. Whether he was dead or alive, it appears that his soul was able to observe Fehime going into labor.

Geographic Past Life Memory: Erkan Finds his Past Life Mother & Bakery

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyBakeryAgain, when Erkan was only two to three years old, he asked his mother, Latife, if he could go visit his mother from his prior lifetime as Ahmet. Erkan said:

“I can show you the way to my mother’s place.” (8)

Latife allowed him to try to find the way and she followed him to see where he would go. Erkan led his mother on a 200 meter walk directly to the home of Ahmet’s mother, which was next door to the bakery that Ahmet had owned.

Once Erkan found the bakery, he would repeatedly visit it and claim that he owned the bakery. One baker came to believe that Erkan was indeed the reincarnation of Ahmet Delibalta and gave him a loaf of bread. The worker invited Erkan to return whenever he wanted more bread.

Geographic Past Life Memory in Reincarnation Cases

Many reincarnation cases feature the phenomenon of a child remembering the way to a past life home. As an example, in the case of Anne Frank | Barbro Karlen, at ten years of age Barbro was able to lead her parents on a 10 minute walk from their hotel in Amsterdam directly to the Anne Frank House, even though Barbro had never been in Amsterdam before.

Other such cases can be found in the section entitled: Geographic Memory

Past Life Memory: Erkan Recognizes the Singer from Istanbul from a Photograph

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeySingerRengin Arda, the singer who died with Ahmet on the way back from Istanbul, had been in Adana once before. A German hairdressing she went to had a photograph taken with Regin on this prior visit. When the hairdresser heard about Erkan’s claim that he was Ahmet reincarnated, the hairdresser came to the Kulic home to do her own test.

The hairdresser had everyone sit down and be silent. She then brought out her photograph and showed it to Erkan. She then asked who the women in photo were.

Erkan replied: “You and the singer.” (9)

The hairdresser then asked Erkan the name of the singer. He replied promptly: “Rengin Arda.” (10)

Ian Stevenson noted that this was a significant identification, as Erkan’s parents themselves did not know the name of the singer.

Past Life Behavior: Erkan plays Nightclub Owner, a Past Life Passion

iisis4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeybarAs a child, Erkan liked to pretend that he owned a nightclub. Ian Stevenson wrote:

“Erkan greatly enjoyed playing that he was the proprietor of a nightclub. He arranged boxes to represent a bar and put bottles on them. He assigned roles to the neighborhood girls and gave one a stick to hold to represent a microphone held by the singer. On one occasion, Erkan was observed setting out two chairs for the wives of Ahmet, Mihriban and Fehime.” (11)

“Latife Kilic had the impression from watching Erkan playing the game of ‘nightclub’ that he preferred Mihriban to Fehime. Erkan himself said quite frankly in 1970 that he (in his previous life) preferred Mihriban to Fehime.” (12)

As noted previously, Latife’s observation and Erkan’s statement that Ahmet preferred Mihriban was confirmed by Ahmet’s brother in law, Ihsan Ozbicer.

Erkan’s early fascination with playing nightclub can be seen as a talent or passion that stems from a past incarnation. Many other reincarnation cases involve children and adults who demonstrate talents or interests from past incarnations.

Past Life Memory: Erkan Identifies his Watch from his Past Lifetime

When Erkan was fours year old, he said that as Ahmet, he and a friend named Mithat exchanged watches and that Mithat still had his watch. He also said that the watch had teeth marks on it.

Ahmet Delibalta did have a friend named Mithat Goksal, who was contacted regarding Erkan’s claim. Mithat confirmed that he and Ahmet had exchanged watches in Mithat’s office. Mithat thought it was extremely unlikely that anyone other than he and Ahmet could have known about this exchange. Ian Stevenson examined the watch and found that there were indeed teeth marks on the watch case, which, it was learned, had been made by Ahmet’s children.

Past Life Memory: Erkan Recalls Stealing a Tray

Erkan said that as Ahmet, he once stole a tray from his parent’s home. Erkan said that he stole the tray to get money to go to a football game and that he sold the tray for 25 kurus.

This incident was later confirmed by Ahmet’s friend, Selim Ozel, who was an accomplice to the theft. Selim and Ahmet indeed wanted to go to a football game, but Ahmet did not have enough money for a ticket. He stole the tray and sold it for 25 kurus to get into the football game. This occurred when Ahmet was 15 years old, 20 years before his death.

When Selim Ozel met Erkan, as a test he asked if anyone else went with them to the football game. Erkan said there was a third boy named Tevfic who went with them, which Selim verified as correct.

Ian Stevenson pointed out that only three people knew of this incident, Ahmet, Selim and Tevfic. Similarly, the exchange of watches was only known by Ahmet and Mithat. By reporting details from Ahmet’s life that are so obscure, it is hard to imagine how Erkan could have known this information except through reincarnation and past life memories.

Relationships Renewed through Reincarnation: As a Child, Erkan Plays with his Own Past Life Son

Erkan became friends with one of the sons of Ahmet Delibalta, whose name was Ali. Erkan and Ali would make so much noise in their play that Latife, Erkan’s mother, would try to send Ali away. Erkan would than stop her, stating that Ali was “my son.” (13)

Latife then gave in and let them play. A neighbor noted that Erkan would embrace Ali more like a parent than a playmate.

Principles of Reincarnation & Understanding Past Lives

Geographic Past Life Memory: Between the ages of two and three, Erkat was able to find his way to his past life home, where he and his past life wife, Mihriban, lived. In addition, he was able to find the apartment where his other past life wife, Fehime, lived. Erkat was also able, on his own, to find the house where his past life mother lived.

Geographic memory was also dramatically demonstrated in the Anne Frank | Barbro Karlen reincarnation case, as Barbro at the age of ten was able to find Anne Frank House, without directions, on her first trip to Amsterdam.

Another case involving geographic memory involves neurosurgeon Norm Shealy, MD, PhD, who intuitively was led to the location where he practiced medicine in nineteenth century England, in his past lifetime as John Elliotson.

Renewal of Relationships through Reincarnation: Ahmet Delibalta reincarnated as Erkan Kulic in the same section of Adana that he had lived in his previous life. As such, this gave Ahmet easy access to his past life family.

Erkan enjoyed the company of his past life family so much that his mother tried to prevent him from going to Mihriban’s house. In an especially poignant feature of this story, Erkan became friends with his own past life son, Ali. Erkan and Ali played together joyfully.

Please note that reincarnating in a way that allows reunion with past life family members involves planning by the soul.

Past Life Phobia: Erkan had a great fear of airplanes. When he saw or heard a plane, he would run to his mother or dive under his bed for safety. In his past lifetime, Erkan had died following a plane crash.

Spirit Beings in Reincarnation Case: This reincarnation case demonstrates the involvement of spirit beings in several ways. Ahmet appears to have been able to observe the airplane crash scene after his death, as Erkan knew about how his body was confused with the body of a Jewish man, who was mistakenly buried in Ahmet’s grave.

Erkan also made the statement that his wife, Fehime, was in labor during the crash. Fehime gave birth two days after Ahmet’s plane went down. As Ahmet did not die in the crash, but froze after the plane landed in soft snow, it seems quite possible that Ahmet died while Fehime was in labor.

Another example of spirit beings involves the announcing dream that Latife, Erkan’s mother, had. In this dream, Ahmet Delibalta appeared, gave her a gift and then laid down between her and her husband. It appears that from the spirit world, the soul of Ahmet was communicating to Latife that he would be born to her. Two weeks later, Ahmet indeed appears to have been born to her as Erkan.

Split Incarnation or Parallel Lives: Erkan Kilic was born only a few days after Ahmet Delibalta died. If the assumption is made that the soul is involved in the development of the fetus, which will be discussed in the section on Soul Evolution, then the soul of Ahmet was involved with the fetus of Erkan for the entire nine months of gestation, while Ahmet was still alive.

This same phenomenon was also observed in the very important case of Hanan Monsour | Suzanne Ghanem, as Susan was born only ten days after Hanan had died following heart surgery. The Monsour | Ghanem case also shows that facial features can remain the same from one lifetime to another.

The phenomenon of a soul inhabiting more than one body at a time has been termed split incarnation. One wonders whether in cases such as Hanan Monsour and Ahmet Delibalta, the soul knows of a predestined fatal event and begins another incarnation in anticipation of letting go of the other.

Past Life Story with Soul Plan, Spirit Being & Past Life Phobia: Turkish Reincarnation Case of Nasir Alev | Nasir Toksoz

Turkish reincarnation case demonstrates multiple principles of reincarnation.

How Derived: Memories from Childhood

From: Cases of the Reincarnation Type, Volume III, Twelve Cases in Lebanon and Turkey, by Ian Stevenson, MD

Article by Walter Semkiw, MD

The Life of Nasir Alev and his Death from Tetanus

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyStepsNasir Alev lived in the village of Yukari Ekinci, which is 10 kilometers or miles from Antakya. Nasir was known as a very pious and religious man. With his wife, Esma, he had 5 children, four sons named Salih, Hasan, Zahir and Necim, and a daughter named Elmas. Nasir was a farmer who owned olive orchards, which were located a few kilometers outside of the village.

When he was about 70 years old, he fell down stone steps at the front of his house. The steps were under a balcony. When he fell, Nasir hit his head on a stone, injuring his forehead and nose. Blood was observed flowing from his nose.

After a few days, his condition worsened and he was unable to speak. Nasir was taken to the Government Hospital in Antakya, where it was found that he could not open his jaws, which made his unable to eat. He died on August 21, 1960 at 10:30 in the morning. The cause of death was determined to be tetanus.

Spirit Being & Soul Plan: An Announcing Dream

Mehmet Toksoz was also a farmer who lived in the village of Yukari Ekinci. On the night of August 20, 1960, he had a dream in which Nasir Alev came to him. Mehmet knew Nasir as an acquaintance, as they had adjoining olive groves that were located a few kilometers from the village. Their homes in Yukari Ekinci were about 300 meters apart. Though they knew of each other, they were not close friends.

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyManWithTetanusIn the dream Nasir told Mehmet, “I am coming to stay with you.” (1)
Mehmet interpreted the dream meant to mean that Nasir would be reincarnated as his son. Medina, his wife, happened to be nine months pregnant at the time. In the dream, Mehmet swore that he would give the expected child the same first name, Nasir.

At the time that Mehmet had this dream, Nasir Alev was still alive in the Government Hospital in Antakya. He would die the following morning of August 21, 1960 at 10:30. Mehmet did not know that Nasir was ill or dying.

Past Life Memories: Little Nasir Toksoz Remembers Dying from Head Trauma and a Past Life Son in Belgium

In the morning of August 21, 1960, the morning after Mehmet had his dream, a son was born to Mehmet and Medina. As he promised, Mehmet called the boy Nasir.

When Nasir Toksoz was between two and three years old, his mother went from their house to the village fountain to get water. When she returned, she observed Nasir sitting in their garden talking to himself. She stood quietly, in a way that Nasir could not see her, so she could listen to what he was saying.

Over and over again, Nasir said, “My son has gone to Belgium.” (2)

iisis4pastliferegressiontherapyturkeyBrugesBelgiumMedina then came up to Nasir and asked him, “Why are you speaking like that? Do you have sons?” (3)

Nasir said that he did and he named the four sons and one daughter that he remembered having in a past lifetime.

Nasir continued to give detailed information about his past lifetime to his parents. He said that in this prior incarnation, his name was also Nasir and that his wife was named Esma. Nasir said that his son’s names were Salih, Hasan, Zahir and Necim, and that he had a daughter named Elmas. Nasir said that his son Hasan was in Belgium. All these statements were correct for the family of Nasir Alev.

Nasir reported that he died after he fell down and he hit his head on a stone, which was correct. He also said that he had fallen from a balcony, though he may have been trying to communicate that that he had fallen under a balcony, which would have been an accurate statement.

Later on, little Nasir was able to point out the steps at the Alev home where he remembered falling down and hitting his head. His identification of the steps was accurate.

Nasir said that after he died and before he reincarnated, he appeared before God and gave an account of his life and conduct to God.

IISIS4PastLifeRegressionTherapyTurkeyOlivePast Life Relationship & Geographic Past Life Memory: Nasir Toksoz Meets his Past Life Daughter & from an Olive Grove, Leads her to his Past Life Home

When Nasir was between three and four years old, his mother took him to see her husband, Mehmet, who was working a few kilometers away in their olive orchard. The adjacent olive orchard was owned by the Aliv family. Once there, Nasir spontaneously recognized Elmas Alev, the daughter of Nasir Alev.

Little Nasir ran up to Elmas and said, “You are my daughter.” (4)

Elmas then asked Nasir, “Who are you?” (5)

Nasir replied, “I am your father.” (6)

Elmas then said that if Nasir was her father, he should be able to find her home in the village. Nasir then did this, leading Elmas back to the village along the main road, then turning and walking up small, hidden lanes directly to the Aliv home. On the way to the Alev house, little Nasir recognized people and places related to Nasir Alev.

Once at the Alev house, Nasir said, “This house is mine.” (7)

Near the Alev house, Esma, Nasir Alev’s widow, was standing with a group of other people. Without any assistance in making the recognition, little Nasir went up to Esma and said:

“You are my wife.” (8)

Nasir then went into the house and pointed out the location where he, as Nasir Alev, slept, which was an accurate identification.

Ian Stevenson retraced the path to the Alev home and noted that the house is not visible from the road and that Nasir’s ability to find it via the small lanes was an impressive feat.

This is reminiscent of the case of Anne Frank | Barbro Karlen, as Barbro, at ten years of age, was able to lead her parents from their hotel in Amsterdam directly to the Anne Frank House, even though Barbro had never been to Amsterdam before. The Anne Frank | Barbro Karlen case is very important as it shows that facial features and talents can remain the consistent from one lifetime to another, though religion and nationality can change from one incarnation to another.

Past Life Memories: Nasir Recognizes his Past Life Son, Zahir

Nasir Alev’s son, Zahir, was not present when Nasir found the Alev home. Later on, when Nasir and his mother, Medina, were on a village street, Medina noticed Zahir. She pointed to Zahir and asked Nasir, “Do you know your son.” (9)

Nasir replied, “There is my son Zahir.” (10)

Once Nasir found the Alev family home, he would visit frequently. His past life family members would give him gifts, demonstrating their affection for Nasir and their apparent belief that he was indeed the reincarnation of their father.

It was noted that little Nasir would often run away from the Toksoz home to go the Aliv house without telling anyone. His father said that at times, he would stay for days at his past life residence. Nasir continued to visit the Alev home until he was at least 12 years of age.

In the Rashid Khaddege | Daniel Jurdi case, in adulthood, Daniel would visit his past life family once a month, where they kept a cot for him so that he could stay with them. Attachment to members of one’s past life family is frequently observed in reincarnation cases. The Rashid Kaddege | Daniel Jurdi case is also important as it shows that facial features can remain consistent from one incarnation to another.

A Past Life Phobia of Falling

Medina Toksoz, Nasir’s mother, observed that Nasir had a fear of high places, apparently related to having died from a fall in his prior incarnation.

Principles of Reincarnation & Understanding Past Lives

This compelling reincarnation case, if accepted, demonstrates the following features:

Soul Plan & Spirit Being Involvement: From the spirit realm, the soul of Nasir sent a dream to Mahmet indicating that he would reincarnate into Mahmet’s family.

Geographic Past Life Memory: Little Nasir was able to lead Elmas, his past life daughter, from the olive grove owned by Nasir Alev to the home of Nasir Toksoz, which was several kilometers away. Ian Stevenson noted that the Alev house was not visible from the main road and that getting there involved traveling along small, obscure lanes. Stevenson found Nasir’s ability to find his past life residence impressive.

Proximity Past Life Case & Relationships Renewed through Reincarnation: Nasir Alev was reincarnated in the Toksoz family, who lived 300 meters from the Alev home, which allowed Nasir Toksoz to find his past life family. As such, this is a proximity reincarnation case, where a soul reincarnates nearby the past life family to allow a reunion to take place.

Past Life Phobia: Nasir’s mother noted that Nasir had a fear of high places, which may have stemmed from the fall that ended the life of Nasir Alev.

Split Incarnation or Parallel Lives: Nasir Toksoz was born on the same morning that Nasir Alev died. As such, if it is assumed that the soul is involved in the development of the fetus, then the soul of Nasir Alev was animating the fetus of Nasir Toksoz for the entire nine months of gestation, while Nasir Alev was still alive.

Please note that the image provided at the top of this page is not of Nasir Alev, but of another individual suffering from tetanus.

Reincarnation Case of Mithilesh Singh | Rajani Singh Past Life Case Involving Suicide, Same Family Incarnation, Reincarnation Birthmarks & Physical Resemblance

A new life reclaimed after a death by suicide of Mithilesh Singh who reincarnated in the same family as Rajani observed to exhibit the same behavior as Mithilesh. A noticeable physical resemblance and demonstrations of similar phobias between the two were also noted.

The Life of Mithilesh Singh

5 Reincarnation Suicide Case Taj MahalMithilesh Singh was born in Agra, India, the home of the Taj Mahal. in the year 1975. Her mother’s name was Rajwati Devi Singh and her father, who was employed in a government job, was Navratan Singh. Mithilesh had 3 siblings, including a younger sister, Meena, who Mithilesh was very close to. Mithilesh was also very fond of a maternal aunt, whose name was Ganga Bai.

Of the family’s children, Mithilesh was the only one who did not do well at school. To help her pass her high school final examinations, her parents sent her to live with a family member, Virender Singh, who was an older cousin to Mithilesh living in Bhalaul, India. The plan was that a family member in Bhalaul, who worked as a teacher at a local college, would serve as a tutor for Mithilesh. Virender was married to a woman name Bimla. Virender’s mother, Shakuntala, who had a very domineering personality, was also in the household.

Mithilesh Falls in Love with a Boy of a Lower Caste

Mithilesh was not happy living with Virender’s family in Bhalaul. She was afraid of Shakuntala and felt sorry for Bimla, who had to put up with her difficult mother-in-law. Mithilesh became very fond of Bimla.

Ironically, Mithilesh herself was known to be very headstrong and stubborn. A serious problem arose when Mithilesh became romantically involved with a boy in Bhalaul, who her family disapproved of due to his being in a lower caste. Mithilesh became depressed about her situation.

Mithilesh Commits Suicide

5 Reincarnation Suicide Case A Blazing FireRajwati Devi, Mithilesh’s mother, and, Ganga Bai, her aunt, came to visit her in Bhalaul in early October 1991. After the three returned from a ride in a pony cart, Mithilesh poured kerosene on her head and ignited the fluid, setting herself on fire. Mithilesh then ran to Bimla for assistance. Bimla was pregnant at the time and was terrified at the sight of Mithilesh running at her ablaze. Bimla, protecting herself, pushed Mithilesh away.

The family eventually extinguished the flames and took Mithilesh to the nearest health center, where she died. Her burns were most extensive on her head, but almost her entire body was affected, with only her waist and feet being spared. The date of Mithilesh’s death was October 6, 1991. She was 16 years old when she died.

Spiritual Communication: Rajwati Devi has a Reincarnation Announcing Dream

Within a month of Mithilesh’s suicide, her mother, Rajwati Devi, had a dream that Mithilesh would be returning to their family. On November 16, 1991, about 5 weeks after Mithilesh’s death, Bimla Singh delivered a baby girl, who Virender and Bimla, named Rajani.

Reincarnation Birthmarks of Rajani Singh

A few days after Rajani was born, her mother and paternal grandmother noticed red marks on her head. Within a month of being born, they noticed red marks on the rest of Rajani’s body, though the marks on her head were most prominent. At this point Rajwati Devi Singh, the mother of Mithilesh, came to see Rajani. Given the red marks on the body and her dream that Mithilesh would be returning to their family, Rajwati Devi suspected that Rajani was the reincarnation of Mithilesh.

When she learned to talk, Rajani asked to see Meena, the younger sister of Mithilesh. In contrast, she was instinctively afraid of Shakuntala, as was Mithilesh.

Past Life Memories: Rajani Insists She is Mithilesh & Reclaims her Past Life Parents

When Rajani was 4 years old, in November 1995, she was taken to the home of Navratan and Rajwati Devi Singh. Rajani demonstrated familiarity with the place and with Mithilesh’s family members. In particular, Rajani showed affection for Ganga Bai, Mithilesh’s favorite aunt.

Rajani at times insisted that she be called Mithilesh and she stated that her father was Navratan and that her mother was Rajwati Devi. She addressed the couple, who were the parents of Mithilesh, as “papa” and “mummy.”

Past Life Physical Resemblance & Similar Personality Traits

It was noted that there was a similarity in facial features between Mithilesh and Rajani, including large eyes. Personality traits were also consistent, as Rajani was stubborn and would get upset if she did not get her way, much like Mithilesh.

Dr. Pasricha studied this case from December 1992 through December 1995, directly observing the birthmarks Rajani had, including an area on the right side of her head which was without hair and lighter in color that the rest of her skin. Dr. Pasricha also noted red areas present on Rajani’s shoulders and back. The other red marks on Rajani’s body that were present just after she was born had faded by 1995.

Principles of Reincarnation & Understanding Past Lives

Parallel Lives or Split ReincarnationPhysical Resemblance in Reincarnation Cases: It was noted that Mishilesh and Rajani had similar facial features, including large eyes. Though physical resemblance is noted in reincarnation cases, since Rajana reincarnated to relatives of Mishilesh, genetic factors may also have contributed to their similarity in appearance.

Relationships Renewed through Reincarnation: Mishilesh was fond of her relative Bimla Singh and reincarnated as Bimla’s daughter, Rajani, indicating that the soul can plan incarnations.

Reincarnation Birthmarks: Shortly after her birth, Rajani demonstrated birthmarks that appear to reflect burn scars incurred on the body of Mishilesh.

Split Incarnation: Rajani was born only 5 weeks after Mishilesh died. If the soul is involved in the developed of the fetus, then the soul of Mishilesh also inhabited Rajani as a fetus for about 8 months of her gestation. I do believe that the soul is involved in the development of the fetus, as similarity in physical appearance is observed in reincarnation cases, which would occur through the influence of the soul. The way the soul can shape physical appearance is discussed in the section: Principles of Reincarnation

Reincarnation and Suicide: Mishilesh committed suicide, but reincarnated into the same family, indicating that suicide does not end the progression of the soul. It is likely that Mishilesh incurred karma from the grief she caused others due to her suicide, which will need to be worked out in subsequent incarnations. In addition, Rajani will need to face similar situations as Mishilesh did, but hopefully Rajani will not act out in the same way. For a more detailed discussion on implications of suicide, please go to: Suicide Reincarnation Case of Ruprecht Schultz

Why would the soul of Mishilesh inhabit a second body while Mishilesh was still alive? It is possible that Mishilesh’s soul anticipated the problems associated with her personality and the possibility that her life would be short. As such, Mishilesh’s soul took the opportunity to have another incarnation with Bimla as the mother, who Mishilesh was fond of.

Soul Plan, Spirit Being, Past Life Behavior & Same Family Reincarnation in the Past Life Story of Pertti Haikio | Samuel Helander

A child is born again into the same family and perfectly remembers his Past Life and exhibits Past Life Phobias. A research case on child reincarnation implying Past Life Behavior and Soul that Plans abetted by cautionary from Spirit Beings by Dr, Ian Stevenson, Md.

The Multiple Injuries & Accidents of Pertti Haikio

IISIS reincarnation evidence belgian shepherdPertti Haikio was born on June 3, 1957, in Helsinki Finland. His father had a confusingly similar first name, Pentii, and his mother’s name was Anneli. He had a sister named Marja. He had a number of injuries in childhood which, we shall see, led to memories or phobias in his next incarnation. They are as follows:

Age 3: Pertti slipped out of Anneli’s arms into a bathtub full of water. Pertti almost drowned.

Age 4: While standing next to a construction site, Pertti was struck by a heavy object from the construction site which injured both legs. He was hospitalized for 5 months and had to wear casts on both legs for several months.

Age 5: A dog severely bit Pertti.

IISISReincarnationResearchFallingThroughIceAge 15: Pertti fell off a wharf in Helsinki and landed on ice, which broke. He almost drowned in the icy water, but was able to take off his shoes and clothes and pull himself out. He went home in his underwear. After this incident, Pertti had a fear of being immersed in water.

Perrti is Affectionate & Plays the Guitar

Despite these traumas, Pertti grew up to be a normal and very affectionate person. He acquired a guitar, which he loved to play, and he displayed musical talent.

In 1969, his mother, Anneli, and his father, Pennti, divorced. Anneli later remarried to a man named Reiner.

A Spirit Being & Spiritual Communication of Perrti’s Sudden Death

At the age of 18, in 1975, Pertti unexpectedly died. On the day of his death, his mother, Anneli, who was on a cruise at the time, had a premonition that someone in the family had passed away. Anneli was lying down in her cabin bunk when she suddenly saw her deceased father, who stood silently, then nodded. Anneli told her husband that this meant that someone in the family had passed into the spirit world. It was Pertti who had left the physical world for the spirit world.

A Spirit Being & Soul Plan: Marja has an Announcing Dream and an Abortion is Prevented

Marja, Pertii’s, sister was married to a man with the same first name as their father, Pentti. Her husband’s full name was Pentii Helander. The couple belonged to the Lutheran church.

One or two months after Pertti had died, he appeared in a dream to his sister, Marja. Marja had become pregnant and she was thinking about having an abortion. That is when Pentii appeared to her in a dream and said:

“Keep that child.” (1)

As a result of this dream, Marja allowed the pregnancy to continue. She had a boy, who they named Samuel Helander.

Past Life Memory: Samuel Recognizes Himself as Pertti with Leg Casts

IISIS Reincarnation Evidence Stretch CastSamuel began to speak around the age of one. When he was 1 and a half, someone asked him what his name was. Samuel replied:

“Peltti.” (2) Marja noted that Samuel could not pronounce “r’s,” so she thought he was trying to say “Pertti.”

Samuel told Marja that she was not his mother. Rather, he used “mother” to refer to Anneli, his grandmother and mother of Pertti.

At the age of 2, Samuel saw a photo of Pertii when he was hospitalized for his leg injuries. Samuel said: “This is me when my legs were ill.” (3) Later, Samuel said that both his legs were in plaster, which did occur in the life of Pertii.

Continuing this pattern, up to the age of 10, whenever Samuel would be shown photos of Pertii, he would say: “That’s me.” (4)

Samuel Remembers a Past Life Dog Bite

Another time when looking through photos, Samuel said: “I remember when the dog bit my leg.” (5) He brought up this subject several times, noting how painful it was when he was bitten, even though Samuel, in his contemporary lifetime, was never bitten by a dog. It was Pertti who was severely bitten by a dog when he was about 5 years old.

Samuel Visits his Past Life Grave & Says that it is His

When Anneli took Samuel to the cemetery where Pertti was buried, when gazing at Pertti’s grave, Samuel repeatedly said, “That is my grave.” (6) When Marja was taking him to the same cemetery, Samuel reiterated, “Now we are going to my grave.” (7)

Key Past Life Memory: Samuel Remembers a Party from a Past Incarnation

IISIS Evidence Reincarnation Colorful Party HatIn the memories that are described above, a skeptic would propose that in seeing photos of Pertti, Samuel, for some reason, simply identified with Pertti. The following memory represents a very important one, as it is extremely unlikely that Samuel could have known about the following incident through normal means.

When he was about 3 years old, Samuel told his parents about a time when he and his father went to a house near a kiosk. He said that they wore different colored hats and that they had brought a guitar. Samuel said that this house near the kiosk caught on fire and they had to go home.

This did not correspond with any events in the life of Samuel, but Marja remembered that Samuel’s description matched an event in Pertti’s life. In 1975, about a year before Pertti had died, a friend had put on a party at a house near a railroad kiosk. Samuel and his father went to the party, but a fire broke out in the attic of this house and the party goers had to disperse.

No one had told Samuel, whose age at this time was only 3, of this obscure incident in Pertti Haikio’s life. Of all of Samuel’s statements, this is the most convincing as being a past life memory, a memory from his lifetime as Pertti Haikio.

Samuel Identifies his Past Life Father

One day, Samuel saw a photo of Pennti and Anneli Haikio, the parents of Pertti Haikio. Recall that Anneli was also Marja’s mother and thus Samuel’s grandmother. Photos of Pennti and Anneli were rarely shown in the household, as Anneli’s second husband, Reiner, was a jealous type and he didn’t like pictures of Pennti, his wife’s first husband, on display.

When looking at a picture of Pennti Haikio, Samuel said, “This is my father.” (8) Pennti, of course, was the father of Pertii, not Samuel.

On another occasion, when looking at a photo of Pennti Haikio and Anneli, Samuel said, “There is Daddy and Grandma too.” (9) Again, Pennti Haikio was Perrtii’s daddy, not Samuel’s. Anneli was Pertii’s mother and Samuel’s grandmother.

Samuel Finds his Past Life Guitar, Corduroy Jacket and Watch

IISIS Reincarnation Research Bus GuitarRecall that Perrti Haikio was fond of playing the guitar. After he died, his guitar was placed in a box and put in a closet. No one in the family had told Samuel about this guitar. None the less, Ian Stevenson writes, regarding Samuel and the guitar:

“He looked for it, found it, and said that it was his.” (10)

After Pertti Haikio had died, all his clothes were disposed of except for a corduroy jacket, which was kept in a closet. One day, Marja, his mother, and Anneli, his grandmother and Perrti’s mother, brought it out and were discussing what to do with it. One of them suggested that it should be given away.

Samuel, who was only 3 years at this time, became agitated and shouted at his mother and grandmother, stating that the corduroy jacket was his and that it should not be given away.

Pertti had a watch that was broken and that was without hands. After he died Anneli put it in a drawer filled with other discarded items. Anneli once opened this drawer in Pertti’s presence. He saw the broken watch and claimed it, saying it was his. Samuel subsequently kept the watch either under his pillow or in a drawer under his bed, apparently so that no one could ever take if from him again.

Samuel’s Past Life Phobia of Water

IISISReincarnationResearchFrozenPondSamuel had a great fear of being bathed, to that point that is mother, Marja, described him as being “panic stricken” when being bathed. Samuel even feared showers. Samuel’s fear of water persisted until he was at least until he was 23 years of age. Even as an adult, Samuel would not go swimming due to his phobia.

Recall that when Pertti was 3 years old, he slipped out of Anneli’s arms into a bathtub full of water and almost drowned. At age 15, Pertti fell off a wharf in Helsinki and landed on ice, which broke. He also almost drowned in the icy water.

Samuel’s fear of water appears to be related to Pertti’s experiences of almost drowning, once when he fell into a bathtub when he was 3 years old and again at the age of 15, when he fell into icy water.

Past Life Behavior: Samuel Replicates Pertti’s Ritual of Kissing Each Family Member at Christmas

Pertti was a very affectionate person and he created a tradition at Christmas where he would go around the room, hold each family member arm and kiss them on the cheek.

At the age of 2 1/2, Samuel spontaneously demonstrated the same behavior at Christmas, taking each family member by the arm and kissing them on the cheek.

Reincarnation & Physical Resemblance: Pertti and Samuel have the Same Appearance & Postures

Marja, Pertti’s sister and Samuel’s mother, noted that Pertti and Samuel had the same smile and that they had the same physique. Pertti had the tendency of standing with one foot in front of the other with his hand on his hip. Samuel had the same habitual posture. Both Pertti and Samuel had a habit of walking with their hands behind their backs. Marja did not have these physical habits.

Marja Believes Samuel is the Reincarnation of Pertti

Based on her experiences and observations, Marja came to believe that her son Samuel is her deceased brother, Pertti reborn.

Principles of Reincarnation & Understanding Past Lives

Same Family Reincarnation: Pertti reincarnated as the son of his sister, Marja, to rejoin his family. All same family reincarnation cases involve planning by the soul from the spirit world of a coming incarnation.

Spirit Being & Soul Plan: Pertii, from the spirit world, provided Marja with an announcing dream, advising her not to have an abortion. Pertti did so as he was planning to reincarnate as Marja’s child, who would be named Samuel.

Another example of a spirit being in this case involves Anneli, Pertti’s mother, who was on a cruise when she suddenly saw her deceased father, who stood silently, then nodded. Anneli told her husband that this meant that someone in the family had passed into the spirit world. It was Pertti who had left the physical world for the spirit world.

Phobia from a Past Lifetime: Samuel had a phobia of bathing and swimming, which appear to have resulted in Pertii having near drowned in a bathtub when he was three and when he fell into icy water when he was 15 years old.

Physical Resemblance: Marja, Pertti’s sister and Samuel’s mother, noted that Pertti and Samuel had the same smile, the same physique and the tendency of standing with one foot in front of the other with his hand on his hip, as well as walking with their hands behind their backs. Since this is a same family reincarnation case, physical resemblances may be due to genetic factors.

Childhood Past Life Memory Reincarnation Story of Hanan Monsour | Suzanne Ghanem

Ian Stevenson, MD studied Suzanne Ghanem, who had validated spontaneous past life memories of being Hanan Monsour, as a child in the 1960’s. Dr. Stevenson revisited Suzanne in 1998. He found that Suzanne, now a full grown adult, has the same facial features as her past life persona, Hanan Monsour.

Reincarnation Physical ResemblanceResearcher: Ian Stevenson, MD

From: Old Souls, by Tom Shroder

Article by: Walter Semkiw, MD from  & Born Again and Return of the Revolutionaries

Hanan was born in Lebanon, in the mid-1930s. When she was twenty, she married Farouk Monsour, a member of a well to do Lebanese family. The couple had two daughters, named Leila and Galareh. Hanan had a brother named Nabih, who became prominent in Lebanese society, but died as a young man in a plane crash.

After having her second daughter, Hanan developed a heart problem and her doctors advised her not to have any more children. Not heeding the warning, she had a third child, a son, in 1962. In 1963, shortly after the death of her brother Nabih, Hanan’s health started to deteriorate. She then started to talk about dying. Farouk, Hanan’s husband, said that Hanan told him that “she was going to be reincarnated and have lots to say about her previous life.”(1) This was two years before her death.

Before her Death, Hanan Tries to Telephone Leila

At age of thirty-six, Hanan traveled to Richmond, Virginia, to have heart surgery. She tried to telephone her daughter Leila before the operation, but couldn’t get through. Hanan died of complications the day after surgery.

Spiritual Communication: An Announcing Dream from the Spirit Realm5 Ghanem Phone

Ten days after Hanan died, Suzanne Ghanem was born. Suzanne’s mother told Ian Stevenson that shortly before Suzanne’s birth, “I dreamed I was going to have a baby girl. I met a woman and I kissed and hugged her. She said, ‘I am going to come to you.’ The woman was about forty. Later, when I saw Hanan’s picture, I thought it looked like the woman in my dream.”(2)

In other words, Suzanne Ghanem’s mother had a dream that she would have a child that had the appearance of Hanan Monsour, and this dream became a reality.

Hanan Reincarnates as Suzanne Monsour & Tries to Telephone her Past Life Daughter Leila

At 16 months of age, Suzanne pulled the phone off the hook as if she was trying to talk into it and said, over and over, “Hello, Leila?” The family didn’t know who Leila was. When she got older, Suzanne explained that Leila was one of her children and that she was not Suzanne, but Hanan. The family asked, “Hanan what?” Suzanne replied, “My head is still small. Wait until it is bigger, and I might tell you.”(3)

Past Life Memories: Suzanne Identifies & Names 13 Past Life Family Members

By the time she was two, she had mentioned the names of her other children, her husband, Farouk, and the names of her parents and her brothers from the previous lifetime—thirteen names in all.

In trying to locate Suzanne’s past life family, acquaintances of the Ghanems made inquiries in the town where the Monsours lived. When they heard about the case, the Monsours visited Suzanne. The Monsours were initially skeptical about the girl’s claims. They became believers when Suzanne identified all of Hanan’s relatives, picking them out and naming them accurately. Suzanne also knew that Hanan had given her jewels to her brother Hercule in Virginia, prior to her heart surgery, and that Hanan instructed her brother to divide the jewelry among her daughters. No one outside of the Monsour family knew about the jewels.

Before she could read or write, Suzanne scribbled a phone number on a piece of paper. Later, when the family went to the Monsour’s home, they found that the phone number matched the Monsour’s number, except that the last two digits were transposed. As a child, Suzanne could recite the oration spoken at the funeral of Hanan’s brother, Nabih. Suzanne’s family taped the recitation, though the tape was eventually lost.

Reincarnation Physical ResemblanceSuzanne Still Loves Farouk, her Past Life Husband

At five years of age, Suzanne would call Farouk three times a day. When Suzanne visited Farouk, she would sit on his lap and rest her head against his chest. At 25 years of age, Suzanne would still telephone Farouk.

Suzanne Identifies Past Life Friends from Photos

Farouk, a career policeman, has accepted Suzanne as the reincarnation of his deceased wife, Hanan. To support this conclusion, Farouk points out that from photographs, Suzanne accurately picked out scores of people they had been acquainted with, and knew other information that only Hanan would have known.

In this image comparison, Hanan Monsour is on the left side and Suzanne Ghanem is on the right. A striking physical resemblance is noted, which supports the premise that facial features can remain consistent from one incarnation to another. The image can be enlarged by clicking on it. Understanding Past Lives & Principles of Reincarnation

This extremely compelling reincarnation case demonstrates the following features:

Ian Stevenson, MD

Physical Resemblance from One Lifetime to Another: Suzanne Ghamen has the same facial features as Hanan Monsour, her past life personality.

It is significant to note that Ian Stevenson first studied Suzanne in Lebanon when she was only a small child in the late 1960s. He revisited Suzanne in 1998 when he traveled to Lebanon with Tom Schroder, a journalist with the Washington Post who was writing a book on Stevenson. In 1998, Suzanne was now 35 years old and it was only at this point in time that Stevenson realized that Suzanne has the same facial features as Hanan Monsour. This occurred approximately 30 years after Stevenson first studied Suzanne in the 1960s. The point is that we are continuing to accumulate new evidence involving cases that have been evolving over decades.

An American case in which photos are available over two lifetimes that dramatically shows physical resemblance is:

Reincarnation Case of James Huston, Jr. | James Leininger

Spirit Being Involvement: Hanan announced her upcoming birth to her future mother in a dream. In addition, Hanan’s soul appears to have known that Hanan would die prematurely and be reborn with memories of her past lifetime, as Hanan predicted this turn of events to her husband, Farouk. In his series of 1200 validated children’s past life memory cases, announcing dreams were observed in 22 percent of these cases.

Relationships Renewed through Reincarnation: As Suzanne, Hanan was reunited with the Monsours, her past life family, and demonstrated love and affection for Farouk, her past life husband.

Split Incarnation: Suzanne was born only 10 days after Hanan died. If it is assumed that the soul is involved in the development of the fetus, then the soul of Hanan was animating Suzanne’s fetus while Hanan was still alive. This overlap of lifetimes occurred for almost the entire duration of Suzanne’s gestation.

Note to Readers: Ian Stevenson, MD was a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Virginia, who wrote in a very academic style, as his target audience was fellow scientists. On the Reincarnation Research web site, his past life cases are presented as children’s past life memory stories to make his academic work easier to understand. For those interested in appreciating the scientific rigor of his research, such as his use of multiple witnesses to establish corroborated testimony, please refer to the original reports written by Dr. Ian Stevenson.
